To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILFRID MAURICE SHORT, a subject of the King of the United Kingdom' of Great Britain and Ireland, residing at Wellan Lodge, Elmers road, Beckenham, in the county of Kent, England, have invented new and useful Improvements in Golf- Balls, of which the following is a specification. This invention relates to improvements in golf-balls, the object being to provide means whereby (a) the flight of the ball may be improved, (b) the pitch of the ball may be better controlled and approach? shots made more deadly, and (c) a drag may be given to the ball in putting. i In carrying my invention into effect I proceed in or in about the following manner,mak-
ing reference to the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 shows a vertical section, and Fig. 2 a plan, of one form of ball made in accordance with my invention.
