GAME.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, GEORGE KROTZING EIgwf the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Play or Game, entitled Georges New Game; and do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, in which Figure 1 is a frojnt elevation,
Figure 2 a side elevation, and
Figure 3 a plan or top view.
This invehtion relates to a new play or game, and consists of a platform, on which is placed a crane, from whose neckor mouth'are suspended a string and ball, and also ofa framework attached'to the body of the crane, in which'are placed tilting bars, which are struck by the player with the suspended ball,'and tilted, the number of times the bars are tilted innine attempts being recorded by markers, which are placed ona string of wire similar to those used with billiardftables for recording the game. i V
In the said'drawings, A represents the platform, B .the body of the crane, C the neck, D the mouth, in which is placed a. traveller, E, to which the upper end of the string F is attached, while at the other end of said string the ball G is suspended. The traveller E can he slid in the mouth D by the player, so as to bring the ball opposite to any tilting bar he may desire. H is the framework, in which are placed the tilting bars J J, etc. K is a. rod, on which the tilting bars turn; 'L is-the rod, on which the tilting burs rest before they are struckby the ball; and M is the string frame, in which the markers N N, etc., slide.
To play this game, the player takes hold of the ball between his fingers, as shown in fig. 2,-and throws the ball against the tilting bars, audhis success depending'on the number of times in nine attempts he will throw thctilting bars upwards, (there being nine tilting bars and ninemarkerm) the times he is successful in throwing up the tilting bars, as, for instance, six in' nine attempts, he records by means of the sliding markers. The next contending party tries his luck in a similar way, and should he succeedin throwing up seven of the tilting bars out of nine attempts, he is of course the winner, and so on. This game, which is very simple, may be played'in turn by a number of players, afiording pleasure and amusement to all.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The-above-described construction and arrangem-entpf parts, constituting a new game for players, substan tially as and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my signature, this 17th day of October, A. D. 1867.
