IMPROVEMENT IN TANNING.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Ohio have invented a new and useful -Be it known that I, OHARLESFRANK, o'f Oincinhati, Hamilton county, Tanning Process, and do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
My process of tanning is essentially such as described in the patent of United States, numhered52fi55, except that in place of the turpentine there described I use the same quantity of hydrocarbon oil of any customary kind, such as coal oil, petroleum, naphtha, or benzine, or in some cases I use half the quantity of tur- When turpentine is used, any form of it will serve, but the form called Venice turpentine is believed the best. I claim herein as new, and of my invention- The tanning process or operation, substantially as described. In testimony of which invention I hereunto set iny hand.
