IMPROVBD CHAIR-SEAT.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
vBe it known that I, LEWIS A. SMITH, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio, have invented a. new and useful Manufacture of Chair-Seats; and I'hereby declare the following to be a; full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part ofthis specification.
Figure l is a perspective view of a. chair-seat embodying my invention..
Figure 2 is a. vertical section of the some in combination with a. spiral spring.
I form the frame A in the usual manner for asiat or rattan-seated chair, and weave around the smue n obons B of'sheet iron. For a. seat of greater elasticity, I introduce between the upper and lower webs one or more spiral springs C.
I claim herein es new, and of my invention@4 A chairfseal; formed of metallic strips B, passing ,continuously arround the supporting bars, and woven into two Webs as represented.
