HAND APPLIANCE FOR MASSAGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 598,773, dated February 8, 1898.
Application filed August 23, 1897. Serial No. 649,212. (No model.)

Figure l is a front View, Fig. 2 is a side 1 View, partly in section, and Fig. 3 is a back the back of the plates are fixed straps D and E, of leather or other suitable flexible material, into which straps the hand ofthe operator can be inserted, so that he holds the appliance as a glove and can effect massage by pressing and moving the balls over any part of the body of the patient.
Having thus described the nature of this invention and the best means I know of carrying the same into practical effect, I claim- A massage appliance consisting of several plates hinged together, each provided with sockets on its under side,- balls secured in said sockets and free to revolve therein and straps attached to said plates by which the appliance can be readily grasped and held by the hand, substantially as and for the purpose described.
