To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARA A. BARTLETT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Beaming or Cutting Tool, of which the following isa specification. V

It will be noticed that the outward motion of the blades is limited in the first part of the operation by the sleeve itself, and it is obvious that bymaking the slot deepand the pivotal ends of the blades suliiciently long great variation of the movement of the blades 8 ispossible.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. In a reaming or cutting tool, a stem or spindle, cutting-blades mounted on and freely movable radially thereof during the operation of the device, substantially as described.
2. In a reaming or cutting tool, a stem, cutting-blades mounted on and freely movable radially thereof during the operation of 9 the device, and means for controlling such action, substantially as described.
