Application filed January 18, 1897- Serial No. 619,636. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM OBUOH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Valley View, in the county of Cooke and State of Texas, have invented a new and useful Quilting Attachment for Sewing-Machines, of
which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to provide a simple and cheap support for a quilting-frame which is designed to be quickly put in position, so that the sewing-machine, as well as the attachment, can be moved about from place to place without any trouble.
The invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, which, with the letters of reference marked thereon, form a part of this specification, and in which Figure 1 is an end View showing my improvement in position on a sewing-machine, partially shown. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the invention with only the central portion of the quilting-frame and suspension device shown. Fig. 3 is a top view of the sill-frame with the three wheels (1 shown in the slots of the sill-pieces. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the, quilting-frame, which is suspended from the supporter by two eyebolts b, which go through slots in the end pieces of the quilt ing-frame and have on their lower ends two taps and on the upper ends eyes to receive a stretcher-piece c, by means of which and the ring and wire a stretcher is formed, the ring of which is slipped over the hooked rod d, as shown in Fig. 1, and thereby suspended in a balanced position from the supporter. The hooked rod cl admits of as much adjustment sidewise as there is room under the arm of the sewing-machine, and at the same time the suspending device has enough swing sidewise
