It is obvious that the door-casing bracket 0 may be provided with a series of apertures s, by whiehthe-door can he held at different positions ajar by the engagement therewith of the arrow-headed rod 12.

\Vhen itiis desired to hold the door wide open, the door is pushed until the grooved wheel is run into one of the stop-notches e, which may be made sufiieiently deep to hold the wheel effectually against the action of the spring-lever which normally tends to force the door shut.

Having-thus described my invention, what I claim is a l. The combination with the. door-casing and door, of the bracket 0 on the said casing provided with the stop-notch, e, the bracketcasing on the door provided with the springcontrolled wheeLadapted-to run onithe edge of said easing-bracket and to-ontersaidrnotch to hold the'door open, nndthe sprmgdever N, its casing and against theiaction of which the door is held open by the said'wheeland .noteh, substantially as descnibed.
