MIRROR-STAND,
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 568,480, dated September 29, 1896. Application filed December 19, i895. $erial No. 572,694. (No model.)
reference being had to the accompanying drawings, where- Figure 1 is a front elevation view of the apparatus in adjustment for use. Fig. 2 is a view in lengthwise vertical section on the plane denoted by dotted line w 50 of Fig. 1,
omitting the supporting-stand and the vertical elevating-screw. Here, as in Fig. 1, the parts are shown in adjustment for use, but, in dotted lines, they are also shown folded up. Fig. 3 is a detail View illustrating the construction of the sliding frame.
The object of the improvement is the production of an article of furniture carrying a mirror which when not in use, maybe folded into a box specially provided therefor. It has features of construction and operation not indicated by this general remark.
The improvement consists in the parts hereinafter described, and recited in the claim. It is an apparatus specially useful for the use of a person who shaves himself.
In the accompanying drawings the letter a denotes a supporting-stand as a whole.

The letters f denote the supports for the. mirror. They are attached to the footboard f, and that is hinged to the sliding frame e, so that the mirror and its supports are capable of being folded down within the box I), as indicated by dotted lines in Fig. 2, the footboard f, in such adjustment, forming a part of'one end of the box I). The chain f holds the footboard f from opening too far.
The letter 9 denotes the mirror.
The mirror-supports ff are constructed in telescopic sections, so that they of themselves may aiford Vertical adjustment to the mirror in its relation to the box 6.
I claim as my improvement- In combination, the stand a, the box and. cover I) d vertically and rotarily adjustable on such stand, the sliding frame e, the foldin g and vertically-adjustable telescopic supports f, and the mirror 9, all substantially as 60 described and for the purposes set forth.
