Be it known thatI, JOSEPH It. B. SGHWARZE, of the city of \Vashington, District of Uolumbia, have made a new and Improved Liquor- Uooler; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the nature, construction, and operation ot'the same. sut'ticient to enable one skilled in the art to which it appertains to construct and use the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, which is made part of this specification, and in which my improvement is represented by a vertical central section.
My improvement consists of a coolingchamber readily attachable to and detachable from the faucet of a beer-cask, to cool the liquor passing through it.
In the drawing, A is the faucet ot' a beerbarrel, and B is a pipe leading therefrom through a chamber, 0, to a discharge-orifice, I). The pipe is connected to the faucet by a ,coupling, E, which embraces the end of the pipe B and screws onto the end of the faucet, making a tightjoint.
The chamber 0 is provided with ice or a cooling-mixture, and the liquor is drawn by turning the spigot F, when it passes through the coiled pipe to the vessel below the spirit D. The flow is stopped by turning the spigot, as no air is admitted to the coil.
The chamber is capable of being rotated in a horizontal plane, the flange (I of the pipe moving between the coupling and the end of the faucet, and the chamber can be readily attached and detached by hand, spanner, or wrench acting upon the coupling.
Havingdescribed myinvention, what Iclaim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
