Be itknown tha1z1, ANOIL B. MORSE, a citizen of the United Soaces, residing ab Baraboo, in the county of Sauk and State of VVisoonsin, have invented a new and useful Tindmill, of which the follow1'ng is a specification.
The invention relates to improvemenvs in windmills.
.The objeot of the present invention is 110 improvo the oonstruction of windmills, more espeoially the gearingfor transmitting power from t-he windmill-shaft 130 a pump, 01 t0 a maohine or the like, and to enable Ehe windwhee1 to face he Wind squarely ab all times, aud 130 mount the gearing on ehe tower Wihoun interfering With the operation of the wind-wheel.
The inven'oion consists in the oonstruction and novel combination and arrangement of parts, hereinafter fully desoribed, illustrated in the aeoompanying drawings, and pointed In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspeetive view of a portion of a winc'lmill construeted in aooordanoe W113h this invenuion. Ohanges in the forma, proportion, and the minor details of construction may be resorted 130 without departing from the principle 01 saorifioing any of the advantages of this invention, such as the arrangemen of the pul- 1eys and the like.

In a windmill, the oombination of a tower, a turn-table mounted thereon and provided wi'oh a vertically-disposed. supportingframe, a braoket rigidly mounted on the tower and extending outward therefrom and inward over the supporting-frame and having the 12L0L101 swi.vc1e l t0 it, said brackets funning an opening t0 p01mit Lhe assage 0f a wind-wheel, a wind-wheel shaft, a pulley fixed t0 ehe wind-wheel shaft, guide-pulleys mounted 011 the bmoket, and a be1 arranged 011 said pulleys and forming a 100p o0 permit the assage 0f a wind-wheel, substanbially as described.
