SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 510,809, dated December 12, 1893.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Fem) M. LocKE, of Victor, in the county of Ontario, in the State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Insulator-Pins, of which the following, taken in connection with the ac companying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact description.

My invention relates to insulator pins and to has for its object the production of a pin adapted to hold an insulating cap, which pin is provided with a detachable insulating sleeve which may be readily replaced at a minimum amount of expense.

My invention consists in the several novel features of construction which are hereinafter described and specifically set forth in the claims hereunto annexed. It is constructed as follows, reference being had to the accom- 2o panying drawings, in which- Figure l, is a side elevation of an insulator pin showing the means for securing the sleeve detachably thereon, in dotted lines. Fig. 2, is a side view of a pin showing its upper pertion in vertical section, having a modified form for securing the sleeve to the base. Fig. 3, is a top view of Fig. l.

1), is the removable sleeve adapted to be secured upon the top end of the base by the bolt c having a head upon its upper end and its lower end threaded and adapted to engage with the thread within the base. The sleeve may also be threaded, corrugated or channeled vertically for the purpose of securing the insulating cap thereon.

In Fig. 2, I show a modified form which consists in providing the upper end of the base with a screw which may be either secured integral therewith or detachably thereto, and providing the sleeve for part of its way with a central opening by which it may be readily secured onto a screw, as set forth. 7

YVhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. An insulator pin comprising a base having a central opening and threaded, an insulating sleeve mounted thereon and a bolt passing through said sleeve and engaging with the thread within the base.

2. An insulator pin comprising a hollow base, and a threaded or corrugated insulating sleeve mounted thereon, a bolt passing through said sleeve and into the base and means for securing the bolt therein.
