GAME FOR AMUSEMENT.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 482,747, dated September 20, 1892.

Be itkncwn that we, JESSE S. MALIN, ISAIAH D. WIEST, and JONAS H. WIEST, citizens `of the, United States, residing at Portland, Jay county, State of Indiana, have invented a new Game entitled The Electoral College Game,

' of which the following is a specification.

Ourinvention is an improvement in games, in its object combining amusement and information, arranged in an attractive manner.

on a board eighteen inches square, of which the following is a detailed description: In the center of the board is placed a revolving indicator or. Around the circle in which it spins is arranged a circle containing the names of all the States of the Union b, at the head of which is placed the electoral vote foreach State c, and marked by a star (Lin which there is a perforation or pin-hole e. At each spin of the indicatorthe State pointed out is secured by placing a small pin in the perforated star ol,there to remain until all the States have been chosen or voted. The two spirals f f, beginning on opposite sides of the board at starting-pointy g, (in different colors,) wind to the right twice around the board, in each of which there are two hundred and twenty-three perforations or pin-holes 7L h, numbered, consecutively, from one to two two hundred and twenty-three, representing a majority of the'electoral vote in each spiral, in which is kept a running count of the votes as pointed out by the indicator. The player first securing a majority of the electoral vote lands his candidate (whichis represented by the pin used in the count) in the White House t' i.

The foregoing describes our invention.

Vthat we claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

l. The game apparatus herein described, consisting of a board having thereon a revolving indicator surrounded by a circular arrangement of the names of all the States, with their respective number of electoral votes, acircle of perforated stars, in which to peg olf, opposite the name of each State, the number of the electoral vote for each State as it is counted, so that it may not be again counted in adding up the total in one game, in connection with the two perforated spirals, in which is kept the count of the game, as specified.

2. The game apparatus herein described, comprising the indicator a, the circle containing the names of all the States b, with their respective number of electoral votes, the circle of perforated stars rl, and the two spirals ff, all substantially as set forth.
