To all? whom it may concern: v Be it known that I, Bsnsnsnn STEIN, a subject of the Emperor of Austria, and a resident of Berlin,in the Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire, have invented certain new and use- "ful Improvements in Gas and Petroleum Motors, (for which I have obtained a patent in England, No. 19,177 1,da'ted November 25, 1890,) of which the following is a full, clear, and ex,

v Myinvention relates to gasrmoters in which the explosive mixture is introduced into the explosioncylinder in two charges having a difierent proportion of gas-that is to say,
gasmotors in which the first charge of the combustible-mixture contains a greater proportion of air than the second charge, which only contains as much air as is necessary for the complete combustion ofi'he gas; and my :0 invention consists in a valve arrangement by means of which such alterations of the proportions of gas and air may be caused in a. very eifective and reliable way.
