UNITED STATES ATENT OFFICE.
MO ISAAOS, OF NEXV YORK, N. Y.
TAG-FASTEN ER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Application filed August 8, 1890.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MO ISAAOS, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Securing Devices for Show and other Cards; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable 0thcrs skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to improvements in means for securing show, price, and other cards to fabrics and other articles of manufacture or commerce, as will be hereinafter fully described and claimed, reference being had to theaccompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the securing device complete. Fig. 2 is a diametrical sectional view on a line with the plane of thedisk. Fig. 3 is a detail of a different form of construction, showing the several component parts separated from each other.
As will be readily understood, the object of my invention is to provide a cheap and efficient means of attaching price and othercards to various objects; and it consists, preferably, of three disks fastened together, the middle carrying or holding attached thereto the securing-pin, while the outer disk is provided upon its outer side with a coating of some tenacious substance that will readily adhere to the cards placed thereon.
Referring in detail by letter to the several parts of my invention, A, B, and 0 are the three disks, the diameter of which is to be determined by the size of the device desired. The disks A and O, as will be seen, form, respectively, the front and rear sections of the securing device, while the disk B provides an anchorage for the pin by having a slot or opening cut therein until a point near the center thereof is reached, when said slot may Patent No.-44.7,688, dated March 3, 1891.
Serial No. 361,452. on model.)
be turned to the right or left, or in both such directions, if preferred, thus providing a receptacle for the wire forming the pin. It will be understood that one end of the wire is to be bent, so as to follow the conformation of the slot-or opening just referred to. By thus placing the wire in the opening formed in the disk B it will be effectively secured therein when the disks A and O are secured on either side of the disk 13, when the free end of the wire may be properlysharpened and the outer face of the disk A coated with an adhering substance, when the device is completed and ready for use.
The device is attached to the goods to be displayed and the price-card, properly provided with suitable designations, is readily attached to the surface of the disk after the latter has been properly dampened, as will be readily understood.
Believing that the advantages and use of my invention will be readily understood from the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, further reference to the details is deemed unnecessary.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
A securing device for show and other cards, consisting of the three disks A B O, glued together, the middle disk being formed with the slot adapted to receive the inner bent end of the securing-pin, and the front disk A having its outer side coated with an adhesive substance, and the pointed retaining-pin having the bent inner end, substantially as set forth.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
