METHOD OF MAKING HEDDLE-WIRES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 366,056, dated July 5, 18 87.
Application filed April 3, 1886. Serial No. 197,752.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, J AMES H. WILLIAMs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Utica, in the county of Oneida and State of New York, have inventedcertain new and useful Improvements in the Method of Making Heddle-Wires; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

lhe invention is an improved method of making stock for loom nails or heddles, and the accompanying drawings show the stock so formed, A designating the wire portion thereof, and B the bosses or swells, in which the eyes are bored after the stock is made.
The stock is produced by taking rods of annealed metal of proper diameter and drawing the same through dies that open at regular intervals of time. The dies by their action produce stems of equal diameter between the bosses, which are at equal distances apart,
