In a Washingmachine, the combination of a rocking rubber having its trunnions at the middles of the ends, and having a convex face atv its lower portion eccentric to the trunnions, a reciprocating rubber having a concave face and havingend pieces sliding in the sides of the suds-box, an elastic spring secured to the back of the concave rubber and to the end piece of the suds-box, and arms pivoted to the ends of the rocking rubber eccentric to the trunnions, and having yielding and movable connections at their other ends to the end pieces of the reciprocating rubber, as and for blocks with their lower edges sliding upon the bottom of the suds-box and their upper edges sliding under the cleats, said blocks being formed with triangular recesses in their outer sides near the upper edges, a concave ribbed rubber secured with its ends in the blocks, an elastic spring secured to the back of this rubber and to the end piece of the suds-box, a rubber having trunnions at the middles of its ends pivoted between the side pieces of the sudsbox and formed with a convex ribbed face at its lower portion eccentric to the trunnions, and with recesses in thc upper portions of the ends located in said recesses, bolts, arms projecting from the upper portion of the back of the rocking rubberand having a handle connecting them, and arms pivoted to the bolts in the recesses in the ends of the rocking rubber, and having yielding springs connecting their other ends to the recessed end pieces of the reciprocating rubber, as and for the purpose shown and set forth.
