Be it known that LWILLMM D. SHURTZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, here invented certain new and useful improvements in Horse shoes; endl do hereby declare thefollowing invention,` snob as will enable others skilled in the art to which it epperteins to make enduse the seme. f

My invention rela-tes to improvements in elastic horseshoes wherein is provided a, rubber shoe so constructed that it will he held securely and firmly to the horees foot by properly-placed projections integral with the seid shoe, and with such openings es will ai'ord properrentilotion and prevent the ne 'eumulation of gravel or dirt between the shoe and the'foot. ,i accomplish this by e. shoe oonstrncted in the manner illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in wheh- Figure l is a vertical section through :c .r of Fig. 2.
