23 Claims. (Ci. res-rs The present invention relates to apparatus for electroplating and is a continuation of our similarly entitled application, Serial No. 820,235, filed June 15, 1959, and has for an object a flexible and versatile machine for performing electroplating or other treatments by a compact processing conveyor.
Another object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for conveying work to multiple treatment stations with quickly interchangeable cycles at low maintenance cost.
A further object of the invention resides in providing an apparatus for treatments of articles and materials which involves hydraulic or other operation.
A still further object of the invention resides in providing an apparatus for treatments or" articles and materials in which the width and length of the machine is substantially reduced, the entire machine is made of permissible lighter materials and in which the machine is lower and generally more compact.
Another object of the invention is to provide a novel form of operation of the work carrying members whereby to lift and lower the same out of and into the treatment stations which involves the use of a substantially vertically moving elevator.
A further object of the invention is to provide a mechanism of simplified mechanical form for operation at an accelerated rate of speed and which will accordingly have an increased capacity.

Claims (1)
1. FOR USE WITH A MACHINE HAVING TREATMENT STATIONS, (A) A HORIZONTAL CONVEYOR AND ELEVATING MEANS, (B) A WORK CARRIER AND RIGHT LINE LIFT MECHANISM COMPRISING A CARRIAGE ADAPTED TO BE CONNECTED TO AND DRIVEN BY SAID HORIZONTAL CONVEYOR, (C) A WORK CARRYING SIDE ARM PIVOTED PROXIMATE ITS INNER END TO SAID CARRIAGE AND HAVING ITS OUTER END MOVABLE TOWARD AND AWAY FROM SAID TREATMENT STATION, (D) SAID WORK CARRYING ARM HAVING A PORTION PROXIMATE ITS PIVOTED INNER END POSITIONED TO BE ENGAGED BY SAID ELEVATING MEANS, (E) WORK HANGER MEANS CONNECTED TO THE OUTER END OF SAID ARM, AND
