Description

Aug. 6 1963 J. R. CLEARY WAGON HANDLE Filed APri1 21 1961 United States Paten This invention Telates to wagon handles, and 1)articularl to a handle for a child's wagon havin a vertica11 disposed handgrip.
IIeret0f0Te in the a rt, the handles for children's vvagons vvere of a type having la bail disposed 110I`izo11tally vvhich is gripped by the hand 0f the child pulling the wagon In the )resent 'arrangen1ent, the handle I)orti0I1is of tubulal Section Which iS bent upwardly and then Teversely bent to have a d0wnward1yextending ortion on Which a Tubber grip is secured 'I`11e Tubber portion extends belov the body Of the handle so that it may d10p into an aperture -01 hook over a bar or 1)latform on another vehicle, Such aS a velocipede, to be dTawn thereby. I'he rubber grip pfeferably has a heavy end t0 act as a bum er when the handle is dfo ed S0 that the fa11 will be cushioned thefeby.
Accofdingly, he main objects of the invention al'e: to form the tubular body of a handle having a down- Wardly presented u-Shaped end containing a handgrip; to for1 the end of a tubula body ortion of a handle fof a toy Wagon upwardly in a vertical plane and then downwardly to rovide van end portion Which extends below the body of the handle 'and having a handgrip with a heavy end to f0rm a bum er; to provide a handle for a toy Wagon having the gTip thereon extending in a vertical plane with a bunlper OI1 the end thefeof, al1d, i1 geneal to provide a hand1e for a toy wagon which is Sinple il construction, rugged, and econon]ical of 1la11ufacture other Objects ald features of novelty of the invention vvill be Speciiically p0inted out or will becon1e alpaent when Tefefring, fol' a better understa11ding of the inven ti0Il, to the f()110vving descfiption taken in conjunction ith the acc0mpanying dravving, vvleein:
