IMPROVED COOKING-RANGE.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 29,7ll, dated August 21, 1860.
I To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ELON G. NILES, of Oincinnati, Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Cooking-Ranges; and I do hereby declare the following to beafull, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification.
The point of useful novelty in this invention consists in a peculiar arrangement of fire-place, oven, and flues in connection with a small supplementary oven in the main stove or range and a small detachable supplementary furnace employed for the exclusive heating of the said supplementary oven, as hereinafter particularly explained.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a longitudinal section of my range and its attachment. Fig. 2 is a perspective rear view of my small supplementary stove attachment. Fig. 3 is a transverse section of that portion of the flues immediately connected with the discharge-stack.

The arrangement of the small supplementary oven F, flues H, and damper I, in the described connection, with and relation to the detachable supplementary furnace K and flues G of the main furnace B and oven E, the said parts being constructed and combined and operating in the manner and for the purposes set forth.
