Claims priority, application France Mar. 23, 1956 4 Claims. (Cl. 40-10) The present invention relates to price exhibitors, its object being to provide a construction comprising a housing including a base, a rear wall, and two side walls, said housing having an opening at the front, a plurality of elongated price-indicating tablets having two numerals positioned one above the other, and a retaining bar of approximately half the height of the opening slidably engaged at its ends with the side walls of the housing and passing across the opening of the housing to hold the tablets within the housing, said bar being removable from the housing by sliding it along and 011 the end of the side walls remote from the base.

Figure 1 represents the complete apparatus seen in perspective view; Fig. 2 represents the same with the retaining bar removed; Fig. 3 is a plan view of the device; Figs. 4 and 5 are modified applications.

The apparatus consists of a rigid housing 1 of trapezoidal section. A base 2 supports two side walls 3 and 4 and a rear wall 5, surmounted by a top wall 6.

The front part is open at 7 to receive a plurality of elongated price indicating tablets 8 having two numerals positioned one above the other. A retaining bar 9 with arms 10 and 11 forming gripping members to correspond with the angle of the side walls 3 and 4 is adapted to slide from top to bottom and inversely, to release the tablets or to retain them in place.

This bar (Fig. 4) is provided, for certain applications, with arms 12 and 13 carrying at the end curved fingers 14 and 15 positioned in spaced relationship to permit engagement about the neck of a bottle.

In Fig. 5, a sheet 17 of rigid material forms an upward extension of the rear wall,-and has a hole 18' to receive a nail for mounting on a wall. A pair of spaced guides 19, 20 are mounted on the front of the extension to receive and support display cards.

I claim:

1. A price exhibitor comprising a housing including a base, a rear wall, and two side walls, said housing having an opening at the front, a plurality of elongated price-indicating tablets having two numerals positioned one above the other, and a retaining bar of approximately half the height of the opening slidably engaged at its ends with the side walls of the housing and passing across the opening of the housing to hold the tablets within the housing, said bar being removable from the housing by sliding it along and oil the end of the side wall remote from the base.

A price exhibitor, as claimed in claim 1 wherein the side walls are inclined towards each other from the front of the housing towards its rear wall, and wherein the retaining bar has at each end an arm, these arms projecting at the same side of the bar and being inclined, at the same angle of inclination as the side walls, towards each other in the direction away from the bar, the bar being slidably engaged by its arms with the side walls.

3. A price exhibitor, as claimed in claim 2, including a pair of curved fingers carried at the end of each of the arms and positioned in spaced relationship to permit engagement about the neck of a bottle for supporting the exhibitor thereon.

4. A price exhibitor, as claimed in claim 1, wherein a sheet of rigid material forms an upward extension of the rear wall, and a pair of spaced guides are mounted on the front of said extension to receive and support display cards.
