Makel/s M 7km/sy BY y Za-0h19 framers rates x l This invention relates to a device comprising a bracket to be used for supporting objects for display or storage purposes and particularly in connection with a stationary wall or a movable display board formed of what is commonly known as a `peg board. The type of bracket commonly used has an oset upstanding portion with the oiset portion being loosely disposed within the opening in the peg board and depends a good deal to be held in position by the weight of the object supported. When not supportingan object, the bracket is quite loose and any tipping of the board or jarring actionris suiicient generally to dislodge Vthe bracket so that it is prone to fallout of position and drop yfrom the board. It is desirable to have a bracket adapted to be easily positioned and to remain securely in position to be available for use at all times. Y
lt is an object therefore of this invention to provide a bracket to be used in connection with a peg board and which Vis easily and quickly positioned for frictional engagement with said peg board.
It is another object of this invention to provide a bracket for a peg board with said bracket being adapted to be easily positioned and held in position by frictional engagement with said peg board and whereby the weight of an object supported by said bracket intensiiies said frictional engagement.
It is a further object of this invention to provide a device forming a bracket and having a portion of a dimension to fit snugly in an opening in a peg board and having'an object supporting means made integral therewith whereby the weight of said object places an upward stress on said portion causing it to increase its frictional engagement with said peg board within said opening. It is also an object of this invention to provide a device comprising a trough-shaped member having a semicylindrical portion at one end and having a substantially flat terminal portion for easy insertion into and through an opening in a peg board, said semi-cylindrical portion having a dimension to fit snugly in said opening vfor frictional engagement therein and a shoulder formed on said member, and means integral with said member for supporting an object whereby the weight of said object places an upward stress on said semi-cylindrical portion causing it to bear against and bite into said peg board at the upper portion of said opening to strengthen said frictional engagement. l
These and other objects and advantages of the invention will be fully set forth in the following description made in connection with the accompanying drawings in which like reference characters refer to similar parts throughout the several views and lin which:

Portions 11C and 11b are thus seen to respectively form step-like or offset portions in connection with portion 11a at the bottom of member 11. Thus it is seen that said portion 11 may be quickly and easily inserted in an opening 12 of a peg board 15.
As here illustrated, said portion 11a is of a length substantially equal to the length of said portions 11b and 11e and will be formed of a dimension to it snugly into and engage the wall at the lower portion of said opening 12.

The species of applicants device as illustrated in Figs. 1-4 is especially adapted for use in supporting cartons,l such as carton 17. Said carton will have a horizontal slit opening 17a at its rear side. The upper portion of plate member 16 will be disposed through said slit and into said carton. The wall of said carton above said slit will be supported on said oset portion 16a. Said ears 16e are turned outwardly for easy and convenient insertion of said upper portion of said plate member through said slit. The weight of said carton and the contents thereof will tend to cause the lower portion of plate 16 to bear against said peg board v15. Thus an upward stress will be placed on the rear portion of portion 11a and the sides thereof will bite into said peg board in the upper portion of open-v ing 12 at the reas thereof. Thus there is provided substantial frictional engagement which is intensified and increased by the weight of the object supported.
