SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 274,203, dated March 20, 18873.

To all whom it mag/.concern Be it known that we, ADDISON LANGE and MADisON YOLTON, of Frankfort Springs, in
the county of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Im provements in Motors; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this speciticat'ion, and in which-` proved motor. Fig. 2 is a detail view of the wheel `upon the drive-shaft.A Fig. 3 is a similar view of the pawl and spring upon the said wheel, and Fig. 4 is a similar view of the pitman in the motor.

Our invention has relation to motors for operating churns, and for other domestic purposes; and it consists in the improved construction and combination of parts of such a motor` operated by a weight, as hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
In the accompanying drawings, the letter A indicates the frame of the motor, forming bearings I'or the severalshafts,andB a tall box or tower in which the driving-weight travels. Pitman Z consists of an iron bar bent to form a series of eyes, b, having a small opening,`c, at one side, as shown in Fi 4, which enables the pitman to be changed upon the crank-from one eye to another, the springinessof the iron allowing them to be slipped over the crank-pin, so that the end of the lever may be raised or lowered to suit machines of different height.
