Be it known that I, W H. TARBELL, ot' Lwnsingburg, in the county of Rensselaer am State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Vehicle-Springs; nnd I do hereby declare that the f0llowingis a full, elear, and exact description thereof, reference being had 130 tl e aecompanying drnwings, and to the letters 0f reference marked thereon,which forn1 part of this specifieation,
in which Figure 1 is a side elevation; Fig. 2, a perspective showing the relievingmoller and its attaclnnents; Fig.3, a perspeetive illustratin g the method of attaehing the spring t0 the buckboard.
This inventioix relates t0 an improved. spri'n g attaehment forbuekboardwagons; and the nature of my invention c0nsists in a novel mode 0f mounting semi-elliptie springs on a buckboard, whereby the freut ende of3the springs are allowecl afree rolling endwise play upon wearing-plates which are secured to the buckboard, substantially as will be hereinatter explained and illustrated.

Tl1is guide prevents undue lateral play of the spring, and prevents the front end of the spring fron1 being displaced vertically fron1 its position, hat does not restrain its endwise play er motion. It is obvious tl1at the wearing-plate may be on theend ot' the spring, and the roller attached to the buckboard or w the pla-te thereon.
Having thus fully deseribed myinvention, what I claim es new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The combination, with the body A, of the springs B, pivotedet their rear ends t0 plates secured to a buckboard, the anti-friction rollers on the front ends 0f the springs, the bearing-plates for said rollers, secured t0 the buckboard, and the guides F for the freut ends of the springs, all snbstantially in the manner am forthe purposes described.
