2 Claims. (oi. s1 1s) My present invention, in its broad aspect, has
do with improvements in rod and pipe especially adapted for clamping Since pump rods are claims.

In the drawings wherein like characters of reference are used to designate like or similar parts throughout the several views thereof:
The numeral I designates my elongated, substantially oval, relatively thick base member which is flanged as at 2 top and bottom along section on the line longitudinal section on the line enlarged at l5 and threaded at midway between the ends of the opening 3, and the ends of the body I. The body is flanged top fixed jaw in positon by means of a nut l0. 2. The invention as defined in claim 1 wherein the body is formed with similar sections meeting at a point midway the end of the body, means for hingedly connecting the sections, the locking dog for holding the sections together being spring-pressed and fitting in a locking recess.
