The apparatus described hereinabove preventsthe continuation or a knitting operation whenever a strand 36 is broken orexhausted and accomplishes this result with only asingle m1cr0 switch regardless of the number-oi the strands "-38 being formed into the covering.
What is claimed is:
1.
