In a lap drawing frame for spinning textile fibers, aligned groups of cooperating top and bottom cylinders, support means for rotatably mounting said cylinders whereby each top cylinder is supported over a bottom cylinder, each top cylinder being also supported for vertical movement, force applying means associated with each endof each top cylinder for transmitting a downwardly directed force thereto whereby to move each top cylinder into pressure contact with its cooperating bottom cylinder, a pair of levers for each group of cylinders, said levers being carried by said drawing frame, each lever .of each pair being fulcrumed at one of its ends at Ya position below and near an end of the group of cylinders with which it is associated and having its free end located below the opposite end of the group of cylinders with which it is associated, means connecting each lever for each group of cylinders between its fulcrum-and its free end to one ofsaid force applyin means associated pressure on the free end of each lever, an eccentrically and rotatably mounted drum carried by the drawing frame below and in contact with the levers for each group of cylinders and a lever I system hinged to said drawing frame and connected to each drum for simultaneously turn-,

In a sliver or lap drawing frame for spinning textilefibers of various kinds, two pairs of lower cylinders, fixed supports for said, lower cylinders, two pairs of top cylinders arranged for cooperation with said lower cylinders,-vertically movable supporting end bushings for said top cylinders, cross pieces each resting on a pair of adjacent end bushings, a separate fork located under opposite ends of each-pair of saidcylinders, a rocker arm for, each fork, each rocker arm being pivoted intermediate its endto a separate fork, aplurality of pairs of stirrups, one stirrup of each paincbn'necting an endof a rocker armwith an intermediate portion of one of said cross pieces, a first pressure leverand a secondpressure lever each connected nearits fulcrum to a separatefork, eachpressure lever being fulcrumed. at ori end on said frame at aposition below said cylinders and having its free end located belowthe cylin-I ders, the second pressurelever having. its free end extending towards and in a direction or positeito that of said first pressure lever, movable weights on the free ends of said pressure levers, a'ndmeans acting on said levers for raising'at will said weights and for releasing the pressure produced by saidweights on said top cylinders.

In a sliver or lap drawing frame for spinning textile fibers of various kinds, two pairs of lower cylinders, fixed supports for saidlowercylinders, two pairs of top cylinders arranged for cooperation with said lower cylinders, vertically movable supporting end bushings for said top cylinders, cross pieces each resting on a pair of adjacent end bushings, a separate fork located under opposite ends of each pair of said cylinders, a 'rocker arm pivoted intermediate its end to a separate fork, a plurality of pairs of stirrups, one stirrup of each pair connecting an' end of a rocker arm with an intermediate portion of one ofisaid cross pieces, a first pressure' lever and a second pressure lever each connected nearits fulcrum to' aseparate fork, each; pressure lever being fulcrumed at: one end onlsaidframe 'atz'a position belowsaid cylinders,- the s'econd pressure lever having its free end extending towards and in a direction opposite to that of said first-pressure lever, and said pressure levers havingtheir respective free ends located belowsaidcylinders, movable weights on the free ends of said pressure levers, a drum eccentrically and rotatably mounted on said frame below and in contact with said levers, and a hinged leversystem for rotatingsaid eccentric drum for the pur pose of raising. said weights.
