10. In a four wheel railway car truck, a composite side frame comprising a beam element with integral journal boxes and spring seats adjacent said boxes, a truss element comprising a compression member, a tension member, and spaced columns forming a bolster opening, a
bolster end seated on said tension member inv said opening, springs on said spring seats affording support for the ends of said truss elements,
and springs of different type having their opposite ends seated on said journal boxes, their adjacent ends seated in said columns, and affording additional spring support for said truss element.

In a side frame structure for a railway car truck, a beam having journal boxes at the ends thereof and flanges defining spring seats adjacent said boxes, springs on said seats,a truss having open ends seated on said springs, spaced spring seats in said truss, and semi-elliptic springs at opposite ends of said side frame structure engaging said spaced seats respectively at their adjacent ends and having their remote ends seated on said boxes, said flanges affording guides for the ends of said truss, certain walls of said boxes being extended to form abutments for the ends of said truss.

In a side frame structure for a railway car truck, a beam having journal boxes at the ends thereof and spring seats adjacent said boxes, springs on said seats, a truss having box-section ends seated on said springs, spaced spring seats in said truss, and semi-elliptic springs at opposite ends of said side frame structure engaging saidspaced seats respectively at their adjacent ends and having their remote ends seated on said boxes, flanges onsaid beam affording inboard and outboard guides for the ends of said truss, and abutment means on said beam for said boxsection ends.
13. In a side frame for a railway car truck, a lower element with journal boxes and spring seats adjacent thereto, resilient means on said seats, an upper truss element comprising spaced columns defining a bolster opening, said upper element being seated on said resilient means, and semi-elliptic springs seated at their opposite ends on respective boxes and seated at their adjacent ends in respective columns and affording additional support for the ends of said truss element.
14. In a side frame structure for a railway car truck, a beam having'journal boxes at the ends thereof, spring seats adjacent said boxes, springs on said seats, a member having ends seated on said springs, spaced spring seats in said member, and semi-elliptic .spfinzs rah 0W0..-
