Proper seating of the cover is assured by its universal tiltability relation to arm I9 as provided by the ball and socket connection.
It will be understood susceptible of varied embodiment and that, accordingly, I do not limit myself to details of form and arrangement of parts, except as in the following claims.
I claim:
1. In combination, a member pivoted at one end, a xed keeper at the free end of said member having an angular head, means on the free end of said member engageable under the head c.'
of said keeper and releasable therefrom, said ried by said member that the invention iswhen the latter is released from the keeper, said latch having a portion positioned to strike the top of the keeper head to release the latch from said swingable means as said member swings toward said keeper.
2. In combination a member pivoted at one end, a xed keeper at the free end of said member having an angular head, means on the free end of said member engageable under the head of said keeper and releasable therefrom, said means being swingable on an axis parallel to the pivoting axis of said member, and a latch carried by said member and engaging and holding said swingab-le means in withdrawn position when the latter is released from the keeper, said latch having a portion positioned to strike the top of the keeper head to release the latch from said swingable means as said member swings toward said keeper, said head having a cam face struck 'by said swingable means as said member swings toward said keeper whereby to move said swingable means in its direction of release so as to loosen its engagement with the latch before the latter strikes the keeper.
