' icaaalctsiz-iszy This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in refrigerators and more particularly to a refrigerator cabinet in which beer. and other commodities can be kept cool and always handy for sale.

The principal object of the invention is to provide a refrigerating cabinetin which a plurality of cases of beer can be kept subject to a low temperature and readily removed, one at a time,

with a minimum loss of cold air from the cabinet.

Another important object ofthe invention is to-provide a refrigerator cabinet in which beer cases are arranged on a conveyor wherein lifting means is provided for lifting the cases one 13 at a time to a restricted opening from which thecases canbesinglyremovedwithaminimum loss of cold air.

These and various other important objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specification.

The assembly I! is provided with the shaft 2| at its upper end, while the unit I! is provided with the shaft 25 at its upper end, the shaft 25 being provided with a squared end for accom- 15 'modating the socket end 2 of the crank 21 which extends through the front wall 5. The shafts "-43 are provided with bearings 28 and on the shafts 24-25 are sprocket wheels 29 over which the aforementioned chains 23 are trained.

The rear ends of the shafts 24-25. are provided with beveled gears 33 which mesh with the 'beveled gears 3| on the ends of the" counterchainsaresynchronizedsothattheselugsarefi' always at the same elevation at different groups to engage a given beer case 36. Therefore, it

can be seen that with a case on the platform 33, and the elevator assemblies set in operation, the lugs 35 will engage under the beer case and elevate the same to a point sufliciently high so that another can be lifted and so on until the entire compartment I5 is charged with cases of beer. Whenever a case of beer is to be 45 sold, the door flat the front of the cabinet can be opened and a whole case pulled out. The elevator is charged with cases through the door 38 at the rear of the cabinet. a

while the foregoing specification sets forth the invention in specific terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed hereinafter.

Having described the invention, what is claimed as new is:-

- In a refrigerator having a vertically arranged compartment therein, a platform in the lower part of the compartment and spaced above the bottom thereof, a pair of shafts journalled in the bottom of the compartment below the platform,

-.a pair of sprockets on each shaft, a second pair of shafts journalled in the upper part of the compartment, a pair of sprockets on each second shaft, chains passing over the sprockets of the upper and lower shafts, outwardly extending lugs carried by the chains, said platform having notches in its side edges for the passage of the tlcles on the platform and a second opening for removing an object from the upper portions of the chains, and doors for closing said openings.
