Having thus described my invention, what I claim is: r
1. A building block having a main recess at one longitudinal corner-for providing a vertical lonf gitudinal extensiorflsaidblock being provided at its ends "with locking recesses extending through the top and bottom" thereof, said" block being provided upon one horizontal'face with'a longitudinal vent recess, said block being provided in its vertical extension-With an intermediate lockingrecess and saidbldck having' a' vertical vent longitudinally of the block beyond the-end or the intermediate locking'recess'fora substantial distance, the locking-recesses being adapted to receive vertical keys.

A building block having a main recess at one longitudinal corner for providing'a vertical longitudinal extension, said blockbeing provided at its ends with vertical locking recesses, said block being provided upon its horizontal face remote from the main recess with a longitudinal vent groove, said block being provided in its vertical; extension with an intermediatelocking recess, said block having 'a verticalvent passage extending longitudinallybf the blockandprojecting beyond one end of' the intermediate looking recess for a substantial distance, the vertical vent passage beingdispo sed upon one side of' the intermediate locking recess. 1'
