improved lock for automobiles is provided together with positive and emcient means for remotely controlling the door locks to the end that the doors may be simultaneously unlocked, and also to the end that the locking and unlocking of the doors may be under the control of en occupent of the vehicle, preferably the operator thus promoting safety, and under such conditions obviously, children will not be enabled to unlock s. door unknown to on adult occupant of the automobile.
The invention together with its objects and advantages will be best understood from a study of the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings wherein:

A detailed description of one look 8 will teach the structure of the other locks.
As best shown in Figure 4, each lock 8 comprises a tubular casing or barrel 9 that has a thrended end extending through an opening in the jamb it of a door and secured to the jsmb by lock nuts ii. 1
Having a sliding working fit in the barrel or casing 9 is a lock bolt l3 provided with a slot I3 through which extends e transversely disposed stop pin it that cooperates with the slot to limit movement of the lock bolt in either of two directions and to prevent rotstive movement of the bolt.
The bolt 82 has a tapered end its that is recelvable within a. conical tapered socket i5 fitting within a suitable opening provided in e door of the automobile, and having at one end an inteoral dish or plate it through the mefium of which and screws ii the socket is is secured in position. For operating the bolts E2 of the locks there are provided for the bolts operating wires 88 which are suitably secured at one end to the apertured and notched ends is of the respective bolts l2 and as best shown in Figures iand'l.
At the respective free ends the wires l8 are clamped between a pair 01' complemented clamp-v ing members it, 20a:
As best shown in Figures 8, 9 and 10 the complemental clamping members 20a, 20 are provided in their meeting faces with mating grooves 21 in which are clamped the wires !8 as shown in Figure 8. The clamping members 29. 20a are secured together through the medium of bolts or other fastening means 22.
One of the clamping members, for example the clamping member 20a has formed integrally therewith a. pin 23 which extends through a suitable opening 24 provided therefor in one end of a control lever 25. In the present instance the control lever 25 is the emergency brake lever of an automobile and is pivoted at one side of the transmission casing as at 26 and in a conventional manner. seeming the pin 23 journaled and the adjacent side of the lever 26 is disposed a washer 28. v
The bolts I! are normallyprojected for look ing the respective doors, through the medium of coil springs flasuitably confined within the cas- 1 clearly shown in Figure 4.
From the above it will be seen that upon I manipulating the lever 25 as when, for example,
the lever is swung in a clockwise direction (Figure 2) incidental to an application 01' the emergency brakes, a pull will be exerted on the cables or wires IQ for retracting the bolts I! out of engagement with their respective sockets II thus unlocking the doors I and I simultaneously and in a single operation. Obviously, therefore, upon manipulation of the lever 25 in a reverse direction to release the brakes, springs 28a will be free to act on the bolts II for projecting the latter to "engage the ends lid of the bolts with the sockets l for simultaneously looking all the doors 8, I of the automobile.
The cables II are provided with suitable flexible sheathings 29. At one endthe sheathings 29 are anchored through the medium 0! a clamp consisting of a pair 01 complemental clamp members 30, 30a, best shown in Figures 11 and 12.
In their'meeting or confronting faces the clamp members 30, 300. are provided with grooves 3| which receive one end of the sheathings 29' as best shown in Figure 3. These clamp members 30, Illa are secured together through the medium of bolts or other suitable fastening means 32, and clamping member III has an angular end secured to the transmission casing as at 30'.
Each flexible sheathing 29 is also provided at one end with a cap 31 through the medium of which the sheathing is connected with the casing 9, cap 33 being threaded on one end of the casing 9 as shown in Figure 4 may be made, such as for example, a relocation,
of the locks 8 without departing from the principles of the invention and the scope of the appended claim.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is In combination, a brake lever, a support for the brake lever, a clamp block rockably connected to the lower portion of the said lever, said block being divided into a pair of sections, a bracket secured to the said support, a clamp plate secured to the bracket, a plurality of elongated flexible conduits having one end clamped'between.
the clamp plate and the bracket, control wires 1 extending through the conduits and engaged between the sections of the said clamp block, and means for holding the sections of the block in clamping relation with the said wires, one of said sections of the clamp block being provided with a trunnion disposed through an opening in the brake lever, and means on the trunnion preventing return of the trunnion through the said opening.
