3nventor EDWARD suITuN PEAKE. BB
(Ittorneg j Patented Jan. 7, 1936 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE PAPER CAP AIHMUNITION FOR TOY PISTOLS This invention relates to cap ammunition for toy pistols.
The principal object oi! the invention is to provide a multiple cap device of simple and improved construction that can be manufactured more economically than those heretofore proposed. Other objects will appear from the disclosure.
The invention is embodied in the example herein shown and described.
In the accompanying drawing:
Figure 1 is a view in side elevation of the ammunition device according to my invention.
Fig. 2 is an edge View of said device.
In the views 5 designates-the central portion of the cap, from which central portion radiate several petal-like arms 6, each being distinct or separated from the others, as shown, said arms at 1 each containing the proper modicum of an ordinary or the usual detonating composition adapted to be fired by the blow of the hammer of the pistol. The said radiating arms are shown as having straight slots formed by parallel edge portions of the arms between each pair of them, said slots being open at their outer ends. In the instance shown the detonating portions are depicted as occurring in a, circle around the central portion 5 so that the device may be rotated to fetch each in succession into position to be fired by a hammer of the toy pistol, or conversely, the device held stationary with reference to a hammer rotated to fire the compositions.
Briefly stated these caps are proposed to be in the cost of manufacturing the ammunition is effected. Y
The form and construction of the device can be changed without departing from the gist of the invention as claimed.
What I claim is: V
1. A multiple ammunition cap for a toy pistol including a central portion provided with a. plurality of arms extending therefrom, said arms entirely spaced from one another and each arm provided with a deposit of detonating material.
2. A multiple ammunition cap for a toy pistol including a central portion provided with a plurality of arms extending radially therefrom, said arms entirely spaced from one another and each provided with a deposit of detonating material.
3. A multiple ammunition cap for a toy pistol including a central portion provided with a plurality of arms extending from said central portion, said arms entirely spaced fromone another and having edges parallel to each other for a portion of their length between adjacent arms.
EDWARD SU'I'ION PEAKE.
