In a work support, a base member having a vertically disposed tapered opening, a last bed plate swivelly mounted on the base member and having a plane last engaging surface bounded except for one end thereof with a flange, a pin depending from the last bed plate, a thrust plate on the pin and a coiled spring encircling the pin between the base member and the thrust plate.
