  • In an embodiment, the rectangular planar surface 101 is divided into two symmetrical components forming two ends 102 a and 102 b by an imaginary straight line running through the center of the board, wherein the line runs parallel to the width 103 of the board and perpendicular to the length 104 of the board. In a specific embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 8 each of the two ends 102 a and 102 b includes two respective plurality of zones 113 a, 113 b, 113 c and 113 d. In some embodiments two respective plurality of zones may be present in 102 a and 102 b.
  • The two respective plurality of zones as shown in FIG. 8 can be rectangles and/or other shapes such as arcs or a combination of an arc with a square or rectangle. In an embodiment the at least one circular zone 113 a is demarked with a red color. However, any color can be used. The circular zone 113 a can have a diameter of the about 1 to 10 inches. In one embodiment, the diameter of the circular zone 113 a is about 2.5 inches. The two respective plurality of zones as shown in FIG. 8 includes a circular zone 113 b demarked with a black color. However, any color can be used. In some embodiments, the diameter of the zone 113 b is greater than the diameter of the zone 113 a. The diameter of the circular zone 113 b can range from 2 to 12 inches. In one embodiment, diameter of the circular zone 113 b is about 5 inches. In accordance with the present embodiment, the circular zone 113 a is placed concentrically inside the larger circular zone 113 b having the same center for both zones 113 a and 113 b.
  • The two respective plurality of zones comprises of a yellow colored demarked zone 113 c. However, any color can be used. The color zone 113 c can have the shape of a semicircle with one end extending to form a semi rectangle as shown in FIG. 8 . The diameter of the semicircle that forms a part of the zone 113 c is equal to the length of the extended rectangle area of the zone 113 c. In an embodiment, the diameter of the semicircle of the zone 113 c can range from 3 to 16 inches. In one embodiment, the diameter of the semicircle is about 7 inches. In a further embodiment, the concentric circular zones 113 a and 113 b are positioned inside the zone 113 c.
  • The two respective plurality of zones comprises of a red colored rectangular zone 113 d. However, any color can be used. The rectangular zone 113 d extends across the width of the planar surface. The rectangular zone 113 d is positioned at each of the two ends 102 a and 102 b of the rectangular planar surface 101 as shown in FIG. 8 . The zone 113 d can be rectangular in shape and can have its length defined parallel to the width 103 of the rectangular planar surface 101. The length of zone 113 d in some embodiments is between 8 to 40 inches. In one embodiment, the length of zone 113 d is about 24 inches. Further, zone 113 d can have its width parallel to the length of the rectangular planar surface 101. The width of zone 113 d in some embodiments can range from ¼ to 3 inches.
  • In accordance with some embodiments, each of the plurality of zones 105 is associated with a respective score. For example, the score value of the zone 105 c is 1, being the smallest score and the score value of the rectangular zone 105 d is 5, being the largest score. Further, the score value of inner circular zone 105 a and inner circle 105 b is 3 and 2, respectively. However, any score can be used for the zones. Each zone as per the present disclosure is associated with different scoring rules, challenges, and rewards in some embodiments. The distinct colors for each of the zones serve not only to visually differentiate the zones but also to cue specific gameplay actions, thereby adding depth and variety to the game. This design creates a dynamic and strategic environment, making the board game both challenging and entertaining for players of all ages and skill levels. In some embodiments, the score of the zone is marked in the zone.
  • In some embodiments, the board game 100 comprising the rectangular planar surface 101 further includes a shooting area on the two ends 102 a and 102 b. The shooting area in accordance with the present disclosure is the area on both ends 102 a and 102 b of the rectangular planar surface 101. The shooting area can be marked in some embodiments and can extend within 4 to 10 inches from zone 105 d.
  • A disc 107 can be used to make a shot. The player slides the disc from the shooting area to the opposite end of the planar surface. For example, the disc can be slid from end 102 a to target the opposite scoring zone in 102 b and vice-versa, by players taking different turns. The disc or otherwise called a game piece or a coin (such as an American quarter) can have a diameter of about 0.6 to 1.5 inches. In one embodiment, the diameter of the disc is about 1 inch (0.955 inches). The weight of the disc can be about 2 to 20 grams. In one embodiment, the weight of the disc is about 5.67 grams. In some embodiments, the disc is a coin, such as an American quarter.
  • In some embodiments, the disc may also be pucks, tokens, or washers that players slide, flick, or otherwise propel across the surface of the board. The game piece may also vary in size, weight, color or material to introduce additional strategic elements to the game. The pieces are designed to interact with the game boards surface in a way that allows for skill-based play, such as sliding or spinning.
  • The scoring can be based on the disc landing on at least one of the plurality of zones 105. For example, the disc landing on zone 105 a can earn the player 3 points; the disc landing on zone 105 b can earn the player 2 points; the disc landing on zone 105 c can earn the player 1 point; and the disc landing on zone 105 d can earn the player 5 points. Typically, the disc landing out of any of the plurality of zones can leave the player with no points. Furthermore, the disc landing partially on any two zones can earn the player points based on what zone the disc is mostly in (e.g., more than half). However, other rules can be used to play the game.
  • The rectangular zone 105 d can offer the highest score but comes with the greatest difficulty in landing disc within its boundaries. The player requires precise control to land in zone 105 d. The circular zone 105 a offers a second highest score. The circular zone 105 b positioned beyond the zone 105 a, can offer a moderate score. The circular zone 105 b can be larger and less challenging than the central zone 105 a and/or rectangular zone 105 d. Zone 105 c located beyond the zone 105 b, can offer the lowest score and serves as a safe and easier zone for players to land their disc.
  • In some alternate embodiments, the colored plurality of zones may include special features such as point multipliers, penalties, or other effects that further influence the outcome of the game. For instance, a piece landing in a specific part of the rectangular zone 105 d and circle zone 105 a could double the score for that turn or trigger a bonus action. Players can also bounce discs off the sides (on the bumpers) or knock into other player's discs to move them from into or out of scoring areas.
  • During gameplay, a plurality of players may take turns propelling their discs toward the target zones. The distinct colors help players quickly assess risk and reward, guiding their strategic decisions. For example, a player might aim for the high-scoring rectangular zone 105 d if they need more points to win, despite the challenge, or they might opt for the safer zone 105 c and circle zone 105 b if they are trying to maintain a nominal safe game lead, depending on the opposite player.
  • The game can be played by at least 2 players and up to 4 players. However, more or fewer players can play the game. The players may take turns sliding their disc toward the target zones, aiming to score the highest possible points. The game may include variations in rules to cater to different skill levels or preferences, such as time limits, landing of disc entirely in a specific zone, or team-based play. The game concludes when all players have used their chances, and the player with the highest score is declared the winner. Tiebreakers may involve additional rounds or challenges, such as a sudden-death round where players aim for a specific zone to decide the final winner. In some embodiments, the players have two shots per turn and the first to 21 points is the winner.
  • In some embodiments, the board game 100 includes a catch basin 106 as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 4, and 5 . The catch basin 106 is coupled to the end of the rectangular zone 105 d of the rectangular planar surface 101 at each of the two ends 102 a, 102 b.
