Abstract
An eyebrow and eyelash tinting kit for home application provides a paste in the lower compartment and a liquid in the upper compartment. A two-part cylindrical container is provided, with a thin membrane between the two compartments. The kit also provides a mascara wand and one or more pads pre-soaked with cleansing solution. The user twists the upper segment of the container, which ruptures the membrane to release the liquid into the lower compartment. The upper segment is removed, and the mascara wand is used to thoroughly mix the liquid with the paste. The resulting mixture is applied on clean eyelashes and eyebrows for 20 minutes, then removed using the pads.

- The invention relates generally to cosmetic supplies and accessories, and in particular to a cosmetic mixing kit for home application. Cosmetically darkening the eyebrows and eyelashes has become a very popular method of enhancing one's appearance. Currently, the procedure is done in salons with $40.00 as a typical price. An effective and inexpensive kit for performing this procedure at home, with the comfort and convenience this would entail, would be well received. A cosmetic mixing kit for home application, which would enable a user to darken the eyebrows and eyelashes easily and conveniently at home, would resolve this problem.
- Accordingly, the invention is directed to an eyebrow and eyelash tinting kit for home application. A two-part cylindrical container is provided, with a thin membrane between the two compartments. A paste is provided in the lower compartment and a liquid in the upper compartment.
- Additional features and advantages of this invention will be set forth in the description which follows, and will be apparent from the description, or may be learned by practice of the invention. The foregoing general description and the following detailed description are exemplary and explanatory and are intended to provide further explanation of the invention.
- The accompanying drawings are included to provide a further understanding of the invention and are incorporated into and constitute a part of the specification. They illustrate one embodiment of the invention and, together with the description, serve to explain the principle of the invention.
-
FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of the first exemplary embodiment, displaying thepad 10, thewand 11, thecontainer 12, thelid 13, theupper segment 14, and thelower segment 15. -
FIG. 2 is a front perspective exploded view of the container component of the first exemplary embodiment, displaying thelid 13, theupper segment 14, theupper compartment 14A, themembrane 14B, thelower segment 15, and thelower compartment 15A. - Referring now to the invention in more detail, the invention is directed to an eyebrow and eyelash tinting kit for home application.
- The first exemplary embodiment is comprised of three components: a two-part
cylindrical container 12, amascara wand 11, and one ormore pads 10 which are pre-soaked with cleansing solution. Thecontainer 12 is divided into anupper segment 14 enclosing anupper compartment 14A, and alower segment 15 enclosing alower compartment 15A, and provides athin membrane 14B between the two segments. A paste is provided in thelower compartment 15A and a liquid in theupper compartment 14A. Preferably, when packaged thewand 11 is removably affixed to the top surface of thecontainer 12, while thepads 10 are provided in a sealed, waterproof packet. - To use the first exemplary embodiment the user twists the
upper segment 14 of thecontainer 12, which ruptures themembrane 14B to release the liquid into thelower compartment 15A. Theupper segment 14 is removed, and thewand 12 is used to thoroughly mix the liquid with the paste. The resulting mixture is applied on clean eyelashes and eyebrows for 20 minutes, using thewand 12. The mixture is then promptly removed using thepads 10. - The
pads 10 are preferably manufactured from a flexible, durable fabric which is absorbent, such as cotton or a cotton-rayon blend. Thewand 11 and thecontainer 12 are preferably manufactured from a rigid, durable material, such as plastic. Themembrane 14B is preferably manufactured from a flexible, durable material which is easily ruptured, such as waxed paper or flexible plastic. - Components, component sizes, and materials listed above are preferable, but artisans will recognize that alternate components and materials could be selected without altering the scope of the invention.
- While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of the ordinary skill to make and use what is presently considered to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill in the art will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should, therefore, not be limited by the above described embodiment, method, and example, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention.
