- Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
- The term “coupled” is defined as connected, whether directly or indirectly through intervening components, and is not necessarily limited to physical connections. The connection can be such that the objects are permanently connected or releasably connected. The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape or other word that substantially modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, substantially cylindrical means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising,” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like.
- The present disclosure is in relation to a box for storing goods, the box being foldable.
-
FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of a box includes acabinet 100 and acover 200. The cabinet includes abase 10, twofirst folding boards 20 and twosecond folding boards 30. -
FIG. 2 illustrates that thebase 10 includes a substantiallyrectangular base plate 1000, afirst mounting plate 1010 extending from each of twofirst sides 101 of thebase plate 1000, and asecond mounting plate 1020 extending from each of twosecond sides 102 of thebase plate 1000. Each of thefirst mounting plate 1010 and thesecond mounting plate 1020 defines a plurality ofinternal pivoting slots 1030. A pivotingshaft 1031 is set between two opposite sides of eachpivoting slot 1030. Eachsecond mounting plate 1020 includes two L-shapeddepressed portions 1021 respectively defined in the upper portion of two ends of thesecond mounting plate 1020. Thebase 10 includes an L-shaped mounting leg 1040 extending downwardly at each of four bottom corners of thebase plate 1000. -
FIG. 3 illustrates the twofirst folding boards 20 and the twosecond folding boards 30 of thecabinet 100. Referring also toFIG. 6 , eachfirst folding board 20 defines arecessed portion 120 in a middle of a top portion of eachfirst folding board 20, and twonotches 124 in two ends of the top portion. Twolatch members 122 protrude from an inside wall of each recessedportion 120. Awedged block 126 is formed under thenotches 124 at two opposite sides of thefirst folding board 20. Aprotrusion 128 extends from an outside of eachwedged block 126. Eachsecond folding board 30 includes twoflanges 310 substantially perpendicularly formed at two opposite ends thereof. Twoditches 130 are respectively defined in the two ends of a top portion of eachsecond folding board 30 and each extends toflanges 310. Two openings 132 are vertically defined in eachflange 310. Tworesilient hooks 134 extend from an inside surface of eachsecond folding board 30 and face the upper openings 132. A plurality of spacedclaws 1230 extend downwardly from bottom edges of thefirst folding board 20 and thesecond folding board 30. Eachclaw 1230 includes a C-shaped bent portion 1231 which can be pivotally coupled to the pivotingshaft 1031. -
FIG. 4 illustrates that thecover 200 includes a rectangularmain panel 210 and twofirst panels 220 extending upward from middle portions of two first sides of themain panel 210, and twosecond panels 230 extending upward from middle portions of two second sides of themain panel 210. The first sides are perpendicular to the second sides. Thefirst panels 220 and thesecond panels 230 are parallel to themain panel 210. Amounting portion 240 is formed at each of four corners of themain panel 210. Anengaging portion 221 declines from a middle of eachfirst panel 220. Theengaging portion 221 defines twoopenings 223. Eachopening 223 includes ajoint tab 225 extending inward from a bottom of the opening 223. - Referring to
FIG. 5 andFIG. 6 , in assembly, theclaws 1230 of thefirst folding boards 20 are inserted in thepivoting slots 1030 of thefirst mounting plates 1010 of thebase 10, and thebent portions 1231 are pivotally connected to thepivoting shafts 1031, to pivotably connect thefirst folding boards 20 to thefirst mounting plates 1010 of thebase 10. Theclaws 1230 of thesecond folding boards 30 are inserted in thepivoting slots 1030 of thesecond mounting plates 1020 of thebase 10, and thebent portions 1231 are pivotally connected to thepivoting shafts 1031, to pivotably connect thesecond folding boards 30 to thesecond mounting plates 1020 of thebase 10. At the same time, the wedged blocks 126 of thesecond folding boards 20 slide along theflanges 310 of thesecond folding boards 30 and deform theresilient hooks 134 of thesecond folding boards 30, until theprotrusions 128 of thefirst folding boards 20 are received in the openings 132 of thesecond folding boards 30.
