Abstract

A fan includes a main body, an end wall connected an end of the main body, and a power connector. The main body defines a receiving space extending through the end wall in a bottom. The receiving space includes two sidewalls defining two slide slots. The power connector includes a first end surface forming a pole, and a second end surface forming a connecting portion. Opposite ends of the pole are engaged in the slide slots. When the power connector is received in the receiving space, the connecting portion is perpendicular to the end wall and faces downward. When the power connector is moved out of the receiving space, the power connector can be pivoted to be fixed to the end wall, to allow the connecting portion to be parallel to and face away from the end wall.

Description

    BACKGROUND
  • 1. Technical Field
  • The present disclosure relates to a fan.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • A power connector of a fan is often fixed to a bottom or a side of the fan. As a result, the fan can only be connected to a power socket under the fan or at a side of the fan, which is undesirable.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Many aspects of the present embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, all the views are schematic, and like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of an exemplary embodiment of a fan.
  • FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged, inverted view of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is an assembled view of FIG. 1, but viewed from another perspective.
  • FIG. 4 is similar to FIG. 3, but showing a first using state of the fan.
  • FIG. 5 is similar to FIG. 3, but showing a second using state of the fan.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show an exemplary embodiment of a fan. The fan includes a main body 10, an end wall 20 connected to an end of the main body 10, and a power connector 30.
  • The main body 10 defines a receiving space 200 in a bottom surface of the main body 10 perpendicularly connected to the end wall 20, the receiving space 200 extending through the end wall 20. The end wall 20 defines a fastening hole 202 above the receiving space 200. The receiving space 200 includes two opposite sidewalls 22 perpendicularly connected to the end wall 20. Each sidewall 22 defines a slide slot 204 and a recess 206 extending along a direction perpendicular to the end wall 20. The recess 206 is below the slide slots 204 and extends through the end wall 20. Opposite ends of the slide slots 204 are arc-shaped.
  • The power connector 30 is rectangular, and includes two opposite side surfaces 31, and a first end surface 32 and a second end surface 33 perpendicularly connected between the side surfaces 31 and opposite to each other. A plurality of cables 300 capable of being electrically connected to the main body 10 extends from the first end surface 32. A tab 306 and a pole 304 respectively extend out from a top side and a bottom side of the first end surface 32, opposite to the second end surface 33. A connecting portion 302 is formed on the second end surface 33. Two bars 308 protrude from the side surfaces 31 and adjacent to the first end surface 32. The bars 308 extend in a direction parallel to the first end surface 32.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 show that in use, opposite ends of the pole 304 are slidably inserted into the slide slots 204. The power connector 30 is then slid to be received in the receiving space 200, until the bars 308 are completely engaged in the recesses 206, thereby fastening the power connector 30 to the bottom of the fan. The first end surface 32 and the connecting portion 302 are perpendicular to the end wall 20. The connecting portion 302 faces downward and is capable of being connected to a power socket (not shown) under the fan.
  • FIG. 5 shows that the power connector 30 is slid out and pivoted toward the end wall 20 about the pole 304 whose opposite ends are rotatable in the arc-shaped ends of the corresponding slide slots 204, until the tab 306 is engaged in the fastening hole 202, thereby fastening the power connector 30 to an outer side of the end wall 20. The first end surface 32 and the connecting portion 302 are parallel to the end wall 20. The connecting portion 302 faces away from the end wall 20, readily to be connected to a power socket at a side of the end wall 20.
  • The cables 300 extend through the receiving space 200 to be electrically connected to the main body 10.
  • It is believed that the present embodiments and their advantages will be understood from the foregoing description, and various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the description or sacrificing all of their material advantages, the examples hereinbefore described merely being exemplary embodiments.
