Abstract
A fan includes a main body, an end wall connected an end of the main body, and a power connector. The main body defines a receiving space extending through the end wall in a bottom. The receiving space includes two sidewalls defining two slide slots. The power connector includes a first end surface forming a pole, and a second end surface forming a connecting portion. Opposite ends of the pole are engaged in the slide slots. When the power connector is received in the receiving space, the connecting portion is perpendicular to the end wall and faces downward. When the power connector is moved out of the receiving space, the power connector can be pivoted to be fixed to the end wall, to allow the connecting portion to be parallel to and face away from the end wall.
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present disclosure relates to a fan.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- A power connector of a fan is often fixed to a bottom or a side of the fan. As a result, the fan can only be connected to a power socket under the fan or at a side of the fan, which is undesirable.
- Many aspects of the present embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, all the views are schematic, and like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of an exemplary embodiment of a fan. -
FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged, inverted view ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is an assembled view ofFIG. 1 , but viewed from another perspective. -
FIG. 4 is similar toFIG. 3 , but showing a first using state of the fan. -
FIG. 5 is similar toFIG. 3 , but showing a second using state of the fan. - The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.
-
FIGS. 1 and 2 show an exemplary embodiment of a fan. The fan includes amain body 10, anend wall 20 connected to an end of themain body 10, and apower connector 30. - The
main body 10 defines areceiving space 200 in a bottom surface of themain body 10 perpendicularly connected to theend wall 20, thereceiving space 200 extending through theend wall 20. Theend wall 20 defines afastening hole 202 above thereceiving space 200. Thereceiving space 200 includes twoopposite sidewalls 22 perpendicularly connected to theend wall 20. Eachsidewall 22 defines aslide slot 204 and arecess 206 extending along a direction perpendicular to theend wall 20. Therecess 206 is below theslide slots 204 and extends through theend wall 20. Opposite ends of theslide slots 204 are arc-shaped. - The
power connector 30 is rectangular, and includes twoopposite side surfaces 31, and afirst end surface 32 and asecond end surface 33 perpendicularly connected between theside surfaces 31 and opposite to each other. A plurality ofcables 300 capable of being electrically connected to themain body 10 extends from thefirst end surface 32. Atab 306 and apole 304 respectively extend out from a top side and a bottom side of thefirst end surface 32, opposite to thesecond end surface 33. A connectingportion 302 is formed on thesecond end surface 33. Twobars 308 protrude from theside surfaces 31 and adjacent to thefirst end surface 32. Thebars 308 extend in a direction parallel to thefirst end surface 32. -
FIGS. 3 and 4 show that in use, opposite ends of thepole 304 are slidably inserted into theslide slots 204. Thepower connector 30 is then slid to be received in thereceiving space 200, until thebars 308 are completely engaged in therecesses 206, thereby fastening thepower connector 30 to the bottom of the fan. Thefirst end surface 32 and the connectingportion 302 are perpendicular to theend wall 20. The connectingportion 302 faces downward and is capable of being connected to a power socket (not shown) under the fan. -
FIG. 5 shows that thepower connector 30 is slid out and pivoted toward theend wall 20 about thepole 304 whose opposite ends are rotatable in the arc-shaped ends of thecorresponding slide slots 204, until thetab 306 is engaged in thefastening hole 202, thereby fastening thepower connector 30 to an outer side of theend wall 20. Thefirst end surface 32 and the connectingportion 302 are parallel to theend wall 20. The connectingportion 302 faces away from theend wall 20, readily to be connected to a power socket at a side of theend wall 20. - The
cables 300 extend through thereceiving space 200 to be electrically connected to themain body 10. - It is believed that the present embodiments and their advantages will be understood from the foregoing description, and various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the description or sacrificing all of their material advantages, the examples hereinbefore described merely being exemplary embodiments.
