Abstract

The present invention is a water pipe converter to convert a bottle with an orifice into a water pipe that includes a downstem and rubber hose that extends above the bottle and downward into the bottle, a hose extension with a plurality of apertures that is integral to the downstem with a coupling that extends further down into the bottle and a bottle fitting that provides an air tight seal on the orifice of the bottle. There is also a water level line that indicates a top water level in the bottle with the downstem and the hose extension extended downward through the water level line into water in the bottle, a glass curved stem that extends above the bottom fitting and curves away from the proximal end of the downstem and a mouthpiece to draw smoke from the bottle that is disposed on the curved stem.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD & BACKGROUND
  • Hookah's made of glass are fragile which may cause them to break easily. It can be expensive and time consuming to replace a broken water pipe such as a hookah.
  • The present invention generally relates to a converter. More specifically, the invention is a water pipe converter.
  • It is an object of the invention to provide a water pipe converter that can convert a bottle such as a beer bottle, a soda bottle or a water bottle into a water pipe.
  • It is an object of the invention to provide a water pipe converter that allows a user a convenient way to produce a water pipe from a variety of different bottles.
  • It is an object of the invention to provide a water pipe converter that allows a user to convert a variety of bottles into a water pipe without the use of tools.
  • What is really needed is a water pipe converter that can convert a bottle such as a beer bottle, a soda bottle or a water bottle into a water pipe that allows a user a convenient way to produce a water pipe from a variety of different bottles that allows a user to convert a variety of bottles into a water pipe without the use of tools.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will be described by way of exemplary embodiments, but not limitations, illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which like references denote similar elements, and in which:
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front perspective view of a water pipe converter, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS
  • Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
  • Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
  • The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front perspective view of a water pipe converter 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The water pipe converter 100 can convert a bottle 102 such as a beer bottle 103, a soda bottle 105 or a water bottle 107 into a water pipe 104 that allows a user a convenient way to produce a water pipe 104 from a variety of different bottles 102 that allows a user to convert a variety of bottles 102 into a water pipe 104 without the use of tools.
  • The water pipe converter 100 includes a downstem 110, a hose extension 120, a bottle fitting 130, a water level line 140, a curved rubber hose 150, a curved stem 160 and a mouthpiece 170. The downstem 110 has a proximal end 112 and a distal end 114 with the proximal end 112 extending above the bottle 102 and the distal end 114 extending downward into the bottle 102 and water 106 contained in the bottle 104. The hose extension 120 is integral to the curved rubber hose 150 with a coupling 121 and extends further down into the bottle 102. The hose extension 120 has a distal end portion 122 that has a plurality of apertures 124 disposed on the distal end portion 122. The apertures 124 assist in making bubbles formed on the distal end portion 122 relatively smaller as the bubbles are formed from utilizing the formed water pipe 104. The bottle fitting 130 is disposed on the bottle orifice 132 of the bottle 102 and provides an air tight seal on the bottle orifice 132. The bottom fitting 130 also allows the downstem 110 to extend downward into the bottle 102 through an aperture 134 disposed on the bottle fitting 130. The water level line 140 indicates the top of the water 142 contained in the bottle 104. The curved rubber hose 150 is integral to the downstem 110 and hose extension 120. The downstem 110 and hose extension 120 are extended downward through the water level line 140 into the water 142 in the bottle 104. The curved stem 160 extends above the bottom fitting 130 and curves away from the proximal end 112 of the downstem 110. The downstem 110 protrudes from the other side 158 of the curved stem 160 exposing the downstem 110 exteriorly to the curved stem 160. The curved stem 160 is typically made of glass but can be made of other suitable materials as well. The mouthpiece 170 is in direct contact with a user's mouth to draw smoke from the bottle 104.
  • The water pipe converter allows the user to adapt their beer, soda or water bottle into a shisha. The water pipe converter has a curved rubber hose that is positioned at a right angle where it extends downward in the bottle and is connected to a 1.5 inch glass stem to alter the bottle. The end result is an interchangeable topper that can be used with a variety of bottles, increasing its versatility. A water pipe converter seals in the air for a cleaner smoking experience. Among the users who will find the water pipe converter useful are owners of smoking shops and head shops. The water pipe converter also features a cap that can be placed over most beer, soda or beverage bottles. The water pipe converter is designed to filter smoke, providing users with a convenient alternative to the hookah.
  • While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
