Abstract

This fashion and utility leather belt will display two sides in order to point out the art of my new invention. The front side of the leather belt will display different sizes of ornaments (riveted on the leather belt) for fashionable looks (see FIG. 1 of page 14 of the Amendment to the Drawings for further detail). The inside of the leather belt will be the utility side showing velcro materia, which will attach different utility size pouches thereof (see FIG. 4 page 14 of the Amendment to the Drawing for further detail). Once all of the utility pouches are removed, the leather belt becomes a fashion belt for most designer sport wear.

  • This Fashion and utility leather belt will mainly be used by school children and adults to carry different sizes of utility pouches. These utility pouches will attach to the inside of the leather belt velcro area. Once all of the utility pouches are remove from the belt velcro area, the belt becomes a fashion belt for most sport clothing, including denim jeans and dresses.
  • This belt will be manufactured with genuine leather, one eight inch thick (⅛) and two inches width (2). The length of this belt will be for all recommended sizes. The double hinge belt buckle will be a purchase product for this belt.
  • So, lets get started with the manufacturing of this belt First, measure one and one fourth inches (1¼) from the front edge of the belt Second, measure one-half of an inch (½) from the right and left side of the belt Third, from the measurement giving, cut two (2) rectangular openings one inch (1) length and three-sixteenth of an inch ( 3/16) width with one inch (1) interval. Fourth, cut a smooth finish at the end of the belt using a half two inch (2) circle (see FIG. 2 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing).
  • Now, lets get started with the manufacturing of the belt loop which is also from genuine leather. First, cut five inches (5) length strip with one-sixteenth of an inch ( 1/16) thick and one fourth of an inch (¼) width (see FIG. 4 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing).
  • Now, lets stitch the belt loop onto the belt First, measure three fourth inch (¾) length from the rear of both rectangular openings. Second, place the belt loop across the belt and stitch firmly on the backside of the belt (see FIG. 2 and FIG. 1 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing).
  • Now, lets place the belt buckle with two (2) hinges firmly into place on the front of the leather belt rectangular openings and fold back the front edge of the belt and stitch firmly to the backside of the leather belt (see FIG. 2 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing).
  • Now, lets ream six holes onto the leather belt to fasten and secure the belt buckle hinges. First, measure three and three-fourth inches (3¾) from the end of the belt. Second, measure one-half inch (½) from the right and left side to center and ream the first two circular holes one-eight inch (⅛) with one inch (1) intervals. The second and third row two circular holes follow the second measurement (see FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing).
  • The fashion side of this belt will have rivet ornaments compressed onto the leather. The first ornament will be three-sixteenth of an inch ( 3/16) circular stud (color of silver), the second ornament three-eight of an inch (⅜) circular stud (color of gold) and the third ornament will be three-sixteenth of an inch ( 3/16) diamond shape stud (color of gold).
  • So, lets get started and place these ornaments in position. The first row (vertical) measure three and one half inches (3½) from where the leather is firmly folded back around the belt buckle (see FIG. 1 page 2 the Amendment to the drawing). Second, measure seven-sixteenth of an inch ( 7/16) from the left and right side of the leather belt and place two (2) 3/16 of an inch diamond shape studs for riveting. Third, measure and place in the center a 3/16 of an inch circular stud nine sixteenth of an inch ( 9/16) intervals for riveting.
  • The second row (vertical) measure fifteen-sixteenth of an inch ( 15/16) from the first row. Second, measure one-half of an inch(½) from the right and left side of the leather belt and place two (2) 3/16 of an inch circular studs for riveting one inch (1) intervals.
  • The third row (vertical) measure fifteenth-sixteenth of an inch ( 15/16) from the second row. Second, measure three-eight of an inch (⅜) from the right and left side of the leather belt and place two (2) 3/16 of an inch circular studs for riveting. Third, measure and place in the center a ⅜ of an inch circular stud five-eight of an inch (⅝) intervals for riveting.
  • The fourth row has the same measurements as the first row, but start with measuring seven-sixteenth of an inch ( 7/16) from the left and right of the leather belt and place two (2) 3/16 of an inch diamond shape studs for riveting.
  • To finish this leather belt, lets turn the belt over to look at the backside. This side will have velcro material to snap on a variety of utility pouches. First, measure three and one-fourth inches (1¾) from the front of the belt where the leather is firmly fold back around the belt buckle. Second, measure one-eight of an inch (⅛) from the right and left side of the leather belt. Third, cut the velcro material from these measurements (fit all sizes of length) and stitch or glue on to cover compressed riveting un-finished areas.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • There were a few sources of background information which led to the discovery of this invention. First, from being associated with teachers and classroom students, there were continuous behavior problems. These behavior problems started in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias and onto the playgrounds. It can be noted as follows:
      • (1.) In the classroom, some students displayed disruptive defiant behavior, for example, “bullying tactics”.
      • (2.) These bullying tactics continued in hallway and on to the next class sessions, with students carrying in their hands sharp school supply objects such as pencils, ink pens, staples and crayons ready to use in their offense or defense from pushing and shoving.
      • (3.) After reaching the playground area in the afternoon it becomes less supervisional because of the vast areas to play. These school supply objects can become dangerous.
Secondly, this invention was designed to aid teachers in controlling school supplies, such as pencils, ink pens, crayons, staples, classroom CD's and etc. This utility belt with pouches will carry this equipment and free the students from carrying school supplies in their hands.
  • Finally, the teachers will have more control over advising the students what school supplies to use and also, this utility belt with pouches will substitute the need for a complete backpack
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In summary, my new invention will have advantages and will eliminate previous existing problems. First, some advantages there will be a utility pouch for the following school supplies listed below:
      • (1) pencils
      • (2) ink pens
      • (3) crayons
      • (4) staplers and staples
      • (5) scissors
      • (6) cd's and etc.
Secondly, my utility pouch will eliminate any existing problems because these school supplies will be contained inside of an individual secured utility pouch attached to my leather belt.
