Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to an exercise pant, and more particularly to an exercise pant including a resilient or cushioning member for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks and the genitals of the user.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Typical exercise pants have been developed for the users of the exercisers, particularly the riders of the cycle exercisers, and comprise a trouser or pant body made of resilient or cushioning materials for resiliently and snugly attaching onto the buttock portion of the user.
- For example, U.S. Pat. No. Des. 370,552 to Erwin et al. discloses one of the typical exercise pants for resiliently and snugly attaching onto the buttock portion of the user.
- However, the typical exercise pants have no pads or cushioning members for engaging with the buttocks and/or the genitals of the user and for protecting the buttocks and/or the genitals of the user such that the buttocks and/or the genitals of the user may feel hurt after long term of riding exercises.
- The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional cushioning problems for the exercise pants.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an exercise pant including a resilient or cushioning member for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks and the genitals of the user.
- In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided an exercise pant comprising a pant member including a chamber formed therein, and including two tubular members, and including a carrying portion formed and located between the chamber and the tubular members of the pant member, and a cushioning device attached to the carrying portion of the pant member and including a planar member having a front portion and a rear portion, and including two cushioning elements attached to the rear portion of the planar member, and including a slot formed and located between the cushioning elements, and including a cushioning article provided on the front portion of the planar member and having a recess formed in the cushioning article.
- The cushioning device includes an upper cover layer and a lower cover layer attached onto the planar member for stably retaining and securing the planar member between the upper cover layer and the lower cover layer.
- The cushioning article is separated from the planar member and secured to the planar member with stitches, weldings or the like.
- The cushioning device includes two flaps attached to side portions of the planar member for engaging with the groin portion of the user, and for protecting and preventing the groin portion of the user from scrubbing the seats of the cycle exercisers.
- Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an exercise pant in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating the resilient or cushioning member of the exercise pant; -
FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the resilient or cushioning member of the exercise pant; -
FIG. 4 is an exploded view similar toFIG. 3 , illustrating the other arrangement of the resilient or cushioning member of the exercise pant; -
FIG. 5 is a further exploded view similar toFIGS. 3 and 4 , illustrating the further arrangement of the resilient or cushioning member of the exercise pant; -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view similar toFIG. 1 , illustrating the further arrangement of the exercise pant; and -
FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating the resilient or cushioning member of the exercise pant as shown inFIG. 6 . - Referring to the drawings, and initially to
FIGS. 1-3 , an exercise pant in accordance with the present invention comprises a trouser or pant body ormember 10 including achamber 11 formed therein for receiving the buttock portion of the user, and including twotubular members 12 for receiving the leg portions of the user, and including an attaching or supporting or carryingportion 14 formed and located between thechamber 11 and thetubular members 12 of thepant member 10 for attaching or supporting or carrying a resilient orcushioning device 20. - The
cushioning device 20 includes an innerplanar member 21 made of resilient or cushioning or spongy materials, two resilient orcushioning elements 22 attached to or engaged in therear portion 23 of theplanar member 21 for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks or the buttock portion of the user, and includes aslot 24 formed and located between thecushioning elements 22 for air circulation purposes, and includes a resilient orcushioning article 25 attached or provided on thefront portion 26 of theplanar member 21 and having arecess 27 formed in thecushioning article 25 for receiving or supporting and protecting the genitals of the user. - The
cushioning device 20 may further include anupper cover layer 28 and alower cover layer 29 attached or engaged onto the upper portion and the lower portion of theplanar member 21 and/or thecushioning elements 22 and/or thecushioning article 25, and made of such as fabric or woven or non-woven cloth materials and attached or secured to theplanar member 21 and/or thecushioning elements 22 and/or thecushioning article 25 with stitches or the like. As shown inFIGS. 4 and 5 , thecushioning article 25 may be separated from the planar member 21 (FIG. 4 ) and secured to theplanar member 21 with stitches 30 (FIG. 5 ), weldings 31 (FIG. 2 ) or the like. - Referring again to
FIG. 2 , thecushioning device 20 may thus include aplanar member 32, two resilient orcushioning elements 33 attached to or engaged in therear portion 34 of theplanar member 32 for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks or the buttock portion of the user, and includes aslot 35 formed and located between thecushioning elements 33 for air circulation purposes, and includes a resilient orcushioning article 36 attached or provided on thefront portion 37 of theplanar member 32 and having arecess 38 formed in thecushioning article 36 for receiving or supporting and protecting the genitals of the user. As shown inFIG. 1 , thecushioning device 20 may be engaged into thechamber 11 of thepant member 10 and secured to the carryingportion 14 of thepant member 10 with weldings orstitches 39 or the like. - As shown in
FIGS. 6 and 7 , thecushioning device 201 may further include twoflaps 40 attached to the two side portions of theplanar member 32 and secured to the side portions of theplanar member 32 with weldings orstitches 41 or the like for engaging with the groin portion of the user, and for protecting and preventing the groin portion of the user from scrubbing the seats of the cycle exercisers. - In operation, as shown in
FIG. 1 , thecushioning elements 33 may be provided for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks or the buttock portion of the user, and theslot 35 formed and located between thecushioning elements 33 may be provided for air circulation purposes and for preventing the groin portion of the user from being heated, and therecess 38 of thecushioning article 36 may be provided for receiving or supporting and protecting the genitals of the user and for preventing the groin portion of the user from being scrubbed by the seats of the cycle exercisers. - Accordingly, the exercise pant in accordance with the present invention includes a resilient or cushioning member for softly engaging with and supporting and cushioning the buttocks and the genitals of the user.
- Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
