Inversely, since the convex portion has flexibility, when the connector is detached, the convex portion deflects and is in a state of being inserted in the hole lightly, so that the connector can be detached easily. Therefore, when the connector is attached to and detached from the arm, the connector can be attached and detached easily.

Abstract

A hanger mounted to an upright member (20) of a sectional rack for rotating movement around the member. The hanger is kept against getting broken away from the upright member even if any heavy load or object is hung thereon, and also less intrusive to other usages. The hanger is composed of a major body (1) surrounding around the upright member for rotating movement in a circumferential direction and a hook (6) coupled to the upright member to put any object thereon. The major body (1) is made up of a pair of first and second halves (1 a, 1 b) which are joined together at their confronting edges (10) for pivotal movement to allow their other edges (9) to swing open and/or close one another and made circular on their inside surfaces in conformity with an outside configuration of the upright member. The hook (6) makes engagement with at least any one edge of the first and second halves. Further, a raised portion (8) is made on at least one inside surface of the first and second halves to come into mating engagement with a groove (21) around the upright member (20) to keep the major body (1) against displacement in axial direction thereof.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to a hanger detachably mounted to an upright member in which a groove is formed in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder or a column.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • Generally, most of hangers on which clothes, bags, and the like are hung are used by being fixed onto a wall, a pillar, or the like in a room using screws or nails after the place at which the hanger is used has been determined. Such a hanger requires time and effort when being mounted, and the place at which the hanger is used is restricted. If the place is determined once, time and effort are required when the hanger is moved to another place. Also, because the hanger projects from the wall or the pillar even when being not in use, the hanger of this type has a problem of becoming a hindrance to passage.
  • Thereupon, a detachable hanger capable of being used as necessary, as disclosed, for example, in Patent Document 1, has been proposed.
  • The hanger disclosed in Patent Document 1 is made up of a hanger body formed by one elastic wire so as to include hooking parts formed at both ends of a connecting part via elastic parts; straight parts extended from the hooking parts; holding parts formed at the tip ends of the straight parts; a depending part depending from one of the holding parts; an arcuate part formed at the tip end of the depending part; and a tightening part extended from the other of the holding parts so as to overlap with the arcuate part, and a tightening ring, which is put on the straight parts to narrowing the space between the holding parts, by being moved along the straight parts.
  • The above-described hanger is attached to an upright member as described below. In the state in which the tightening part and the arcuate part are open, the tightening part is positioned on the back side of the upright member of a rack, a pillar, and the like, the arcuate part is arranged on the front side, and the tightening ring is moved along the straight parts toward the upright member side, by which the holding parts hold both sides of the upright member, and the arcuate part is press fitted and fixed to the upright member.
  • On the other hand, as a sectional rack, there has been known a sectional rack that is made up of upright members made of a metal and each provided with a groove in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface thereof; rectangular or square rack plates each provided with an engagement tube at four corners thereof; and rack plate fixing parts for supporting the rack plates, and is assembled by inserting the rack plate fixing parts to a any desired position from the upper parts of the upright members and by insertedly fixing the rack plates to the rack plate fixing parts therefrom. The above-described sectional rack can be assembled easily into a size suitable for the use in a home and also can be reassembled, so that the demand therefor is increasing.
  • In the case where the hanger described in Patent Document 1 is attached to the upright member of the above-described sectional rack, since this hanger is fixed to the upright member by being press fitted, if the hanger is attached by increasing the pressing force to prevent an object from dropping, the hanger is fixed and becomes immovable, so that the orientation of an arm for hangingly holding an object becomes invariable. Inversely, if the hanger is attached by adjusting the pressing force to a degree to which the orientation is variable, when a heavy object is hung on the hanger, the object drops together with the hanger.
  • Furthermore, the arm has the tightening ring used for holding the hanger on the upright member. When the hanger is attached to the upright member by opening the holding part side of the arm, the tightening ring must be evacuatingly moved to the hooking part side. Therefore, if the arm is formed so as to be short, the holding part side cannot be opened. The long arm projects much to the outside from the upright member, which poses a problem in that a larger space is required and the projected arm becomes a hindrance.

  • An object of the present invention is to provide a hanger which can be turned in the circumferential direction, does not drop even when a heavy object is hung thereon, and does not become a hindrance when being in use in the case where it is mounted to an upright member of a sectional rack.
  • First Aspect of the Present Invention
  • To achieve the above object, a hanger in accordance with a first aspect of the present invention is a hanger which is detachably mounted to a cylindrical or columnar upright member formed with a groove extending in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof to hang an object thereon, including a major body surrounding the outer periphery of the upright member so as to be turnable in the circumferential direction; and a hook connected to the major body to hang an object thereon, characterized in that the major body has a pair of first and second halves which are joined together at the confronting edges so that the other edges can be opened and closed freely and each has an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate shape along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member; the hook is connected to at least one of the other edges of the first and second halves; and a raised portion, which is engaged with the groove in the upright member to keep the major body from moving in the axis line direction of the major body, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second halves.
  • In the above-described hanger, the hook can be formed into a hook shape.
  • Also, in the above-described hanger, the configuration can be made such that a connecting portion for connecting the hook to the major body projects in the radial direction from the other edges of the first and second halves, and has first and second convex portions which take an inverse U shape in the axis line direction as a whole when the hanger is mounted to the upright member and the hook is connected to the major body; and an inverse U shaped concave portion, into which the first and second convex portions are inserted, formed in a back surface on the side opposite to a portion in which the hook is formed into a hook shape, and a slit extending in the axis line direction is provided in each of the first and second convex portions; and protruding portions engaging with the slits are provided in the concave portion.
  • According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the major body is mounted so as to be turnable 360 degrees in the circumferential direction along the outer periphery of the upright member, by turning the major body with respect to the upright member, the position and orientation of the hook on which an object is hung can be changed each time. Also, by making the configuration such that the major body and the hook on which an object is hung can be connected to each other, the hook can be changed to a hook having a different shape according to the usage purpose of the hanger. Further, since the raised portion formed on the inner peripheral surface of the major body is engaged with the groove in the upright member, even if a heavy object is hung on the hook, the object does not drop together with the hanger.
  • Also, since the hook is formed into a hook shape, an object can be hung easily, and the object does not slip down or come off at the moment when something runs against the object. Further, since the hook is formed into a hook shape, the length of hook projecting outward from the upright member can be shortened, so that the hook does not become a hindrance or injure somebody due to collision.
  • Furthermore, by engaging the inverse U shaped concave portion formed in the back surface of the hook with the convex portion that projects in the radial direction from the other edges and takes an inverse U shape in the axis line direction, the connecting portion can reliably fix the other edges, which allow the first and second halves to be opened and closed freely, to each other, and also can prevent the hook from dropping in the axis line direction. Also, by engaging the protruding portions provided in the inverse U shaped concave portion of the hook with the slits provided in the inverse U shaped convex portion, the hook can be prevented from coming off outward in the radial direction. Further, when an object is hung on the hook, the fixation is strengthened by the weight of the object, so that a strong hanger is provided.
  • As described above, the convex portion can be formed so that when the first and second halves are closed, the first and second convex portions take an inverse U shape in the axis line direction as a whole, that is, only the upper end part of the convex portion take a semicircular shape. However, the convex portion can also be formed so that both of the upper end part and the lower end part of the convex portion take a semicircular shape.
  • Second Aspect of the Present Invention
  • A hanger in accordance with a second aspect of the present invention is a hanger which is detachably mounted to a cylindrical or columnar upright member formed with a groove extending in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof to hang an object thereon, including a major body surrounding the outer periphery of the upright member so as to be turnable in the circumferential direction; and an arm provided integrally with the major body and projecting outward from the upright member to hang an object thereon, characterized in that the major body has a pair of first and second halves which are joined together at the confronting edges so that the other edges can be opened and closed freely and each has an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate surface along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member; the arm is integrally provided on at least one of the first and second halves; a connecting member for connecting the other edges of the first and second halves to each other in a closed state is detachably provided, and a raised portion, which is engaged with the groove in the upright member to keep the major body from moving in the axis line direction of the major body, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second halves.
  • In the above-described hanger, the arm has, for example, a first divided arm provided on the first half and a second divided arm provided on the second half; the first and second divided arms are formed so as to abut on each other and take a cylindrical or columnar shape in the state in which the first and second halves are closed; and the connecting member is a cylindrical connector formed with a hole, into which the arm is inserted, in the central part thereof.
  • Furthermore, a convex portion having flexibility is provided on the outer peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second divided arms in such a manner as to emerge and immerge from the outer peripheral surface; and the connector is formed with a hole for preventing the connecting portion from coming off by the engagement with the convex portion.
  • In this case, the outside dimension of the convex portion is preferably larger than the inside diameter of the hole.
  • According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the major body is mounted so as to be turnable 360 degrees in the circumferential direction along the outer periphery of the upright member, by turning the major body with respect to the upright member, the position and orientation of the arm on which an object is hung can be changed each time. Also, since the raised portion formed on the major body is engaged with the groove in the upright member, even if a heavy object is hung on the arm, the object does not drop together with the hanger.
  • Also, by putting the cylindrical connector formed with the hole on the arm formed so as to have a cylindrical or columnar shape, the arm and the connector are integrated with each other. Therefore, the connection of the arm can be fixed reliably in the state in which the major body is closed. Also, since the strength is increased by the integration of the connector with the arm, a strong hanger can be provided.
  • Also, since the convex portion having flexibility is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the arm, and the hole that is engaged with the convex portion is formed in the connector, when the connector is put on the arm, the connector can be prevented from coming off by the engagement of the convex portion with the hole.
  • At this time, if the outside dimension of the convex portion is smaller than the inside diameter of the hole, a gap is produced between the outside dimension of the convex portion and the inside diameter of the hole, so that the fixation may be weakened. On the other hand, if the outside dimension of the convex portion is set so as to be the maximum hole dimension of the inside diameter of the hole, although the convex portion and the hole are engaged firmly with each other, and the fixation is strengthened, it becomes difficult to attach and detach the connector.
  • In this respect, according to the second aspect of the present invention, since the outside dimension of the convex portion is made larger than the inside diameter of the hole, no gap is produced between the outside dimension of the convex portion and the inside diameter of the hole. Also, since the convex portion has flexibility, and is inserted in the hole without a gap, the convex portion fits in the hole to a degree of not coming off. Inversely, since the convex portion has flexibility, when the connector is detached, the convex portion deflects and is in a state of being inserted in the hole lightly, so that the connector can be detached easily. Therefore, when the connector is attached to and detached from the arm, the connector can be attached and detached easily.

    BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION First Embodiment
  • FIGS. 1 to 6 show a first embodiment of a hanger in accordance with the present invention. This hanger has a construction in which a major body 1 is surroundingly mounted around an upright member 20 by connecting a hook 6 to the major body 1.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, the upright member 20, which is of a cylindrical or columnar shape, is formed with a plurality of grooves 21 that extend in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface and are arranged at equal intervals in the lengthwise direction.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the hanger used by being mounted on the upright member 20 is made up of the major body 1 having an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate surface having a radius equal to or slightly larger than the outside diameter dimension of the upright member 20 along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member 20, and the hook 6 provided so as to be connected to the major body 1 and projecting outward from the upright member 20 so that an object is hung thereon.
  • As shown in FIG. 2A, the major body 1 consists of a pair of a first half 1 a and a second half 1 b. The first half 1 a and the second half 1 b are joined together at their confronting edges 10 so that their other edges 9 can be opened and closed freely. That is to say, the major body 1 is turnably integrated by fitting a pin 12 projectingly provided at the confronting edge 10 of the first half 1 a into a hole 13 formed at the confronting edge 10 of the second half 1 b.
  • Furthermore, in a central part of the inner peripheral surface of each of the first half 1 a and the second half 1 b, a linear raised portion 8 is formed along the arcuate surface. Also, the raised portion 8 is formed so as to have a height dimension such as to fit into the groove 21 formed in the upright member 20. The raised portion 8 of the first half 1 a is formed in an angle range of 105 degrees with respect to the center of the arcuate surface. Also, the raised portion 8 of the second half 1 b is formed in an angle range of 70 degrees with respect to the center of the arcuate surface.
  • As shown in FIG. 2B, on the other edge 9 side on which the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b are opened and closed freely, a first convex portion 2 a is formed on the first half 1 a, and a second convex portion 2 b is formed on the second half 1 b. The first convex portion 2 a and the second convex portion 2 b are formed so as to take an inverse U shape in the axis line direction as a whole when the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b are closed. Further, in a convex portion 2, slits 4 extending in the axis line direction are formed in the side surface opposite to a mating surface 5 of the first convex portion 2 a on the first half 1 a and the second convex portion 2 b on the second half 1 b.
  • On the other hand, the hook 6 is connected to the major body 1 and is formed into a hook shape so as to project to the outside of the major body 1. Also, as shown in FIG. 3B, the hook 6 is formed with a concave portion 7 having an inverse U shape in the axis line direction in a back surface 6 a on the side opposite to a portion formed into a hook shape. Further, as shown in FIG. 3A, in the concave portion 7, protruding portions 7 a engaging with the slits 4 formed in the convex portion 2 of the major body 1 are formed on the opposed inner walls of the concave portion 7.
  • To attach the hanger having the above-described configuration to the upright member 20 for the purpose of use, first, as shown in FIG. 5, the raised portion 8 formed on the inner peripheral surface of one of the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b of the major body 1 is inserted into the groove 21 formed in the upright member 20, and the other thereof is closed so as to hold the upright member 20 from the other side.
  • Next, as shown in FIG. 1, the concave portion 7 formed in the back surface 6 a on the side opposite to the portion formed into a hook shape of the hook 6 is engaged with the convex portion 2 formed on the other edge 9 side of the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b while being slid from an upper surface 3 of the convex portion 2 of the major body 1, and is locked on an upper part 7 b of the concave portion 7.
  • At this time, the protruding portions 7 a provided in the concave portion 7 formed in the back surface 6 a on the side opposite to the portion formed into a hook shape of the hook 6 is engaged with the slits 4 provided in the first and second convex portions 2 a and 2 b formed on the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b, respectively, by which the other edge 9 sides of the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b are fixed firmly.
  • According to the hanger of the first embodiment, since the major body 1 is mounted so as to be turnable 360 degrees in the circumferential direction along the outer periphery of the upright member 20, by turning the major body 1 with respect to the upright member 20, the position and orientation of the hook 6 on which an object is hung can be changed each time. Also, by making the configuration such that the major body 1 and the hook 6 on which an object is hung can be connected to each other, the hook 6 can be changed to a hook having a different shape according to the usage purpose of the hanger. Further, since the raised portion 8 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the major body 1 is engaged with the groove 21 in the upright member 20, even if a heavy object is hung on the hook 6, the object does not drop together with the hanger.
  • Also, since the hook 6 is formed into a hook shape, an object can be hung easily, and the object does not slip down or come off at the moment when something runs against the object. Further, since the hook 6 is formed into a hook shape, the length of hook projecting outward from the upright member 20 can be shortened, so that the hook 6 does not become a hindrance or injure somebody due to collision.
  • Furthermore, by engaging the inverse U shaped concave portion 7 formed in the back surface 6 a of the hook 6 with the convex portion 2 that projects in the radial direction from the other edges 9 and takes an inverse U shape in the axis line direction, a connecting portion 11 can reliably fix the other edges 9, which allow the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b to be opened and closed freely, to each other, and also can prevent the hook 6 from dropping in the axis line direction. Also, by engaging the protruding portions 7 a provided in the inverse U shaped concave portion 7 of the hook 6 with the slits 4 provided in the inverse U shaped convex portion 2, the hook 6 can be prevented from coming off outward in the radial direction. Further, when an object is hung on the hook 6, the fixation is strengthened by the weight of the object, so that a strong hanger is provided.
  • Furthermore, if the upright member 20 is of a cylindrical or columnar shape, and is formed with the groove 21 in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof, the hanger can be attached as necessary when being desired to be used. At this time, according to this hanger, the hanger can be attached by simple work such that the upright member 20 is held by the major body 1, the major body 1 is closed, and then the hook 6 is connected to the major body 1.
  • In the first embodiment, only the case where the hook-shaped hook 6 is used as a hanger has been explained. However, the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, the hook 6 of a type such that an object is hung in the horizontal direction may be used, or a connecting member called a double hook may be used. Also, regarding the connecting portion 11, only the case where the engagement shape is an inverse U shape has been explained. However, the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, the engagement shape may be a U shape. In this case, the concave portion is formed in the major body 1, and the convex portion is formed on the hook 6.
  • Also, in the first embodiment, the convex portion 2 is formed so that when the first and second halves 1 a and 1 b are closed, the first and second convex portions 2 a and 2 b take an inverse U shape in the axis line direction as a whole, that is, only the upper end part of the convex portion 2 takes a semicircular shape. However, the convex portion 2 can be formed so that both of the upper end part and the lower end part of the convex portion 2 take a semicircular shape. According to this configuration, even if the orientation of the major body 1 is opposite in the up and down direction, the major body 1 can be attached to the upright member 20, which makes the attaching of hanger easier.
  • Second Embodiment
  • FIGS. 7 to 12 show a second embodiment of the hanger in accordance with the present invention. Like the first embodiment, this hanger has a construction in which a major body 104 is surroundingly mounted around the upright member 20 by putting a connector 109 on an arm 108 projecting outward from the major body 104.
  • As shown in FIGS. 7 to 12, this hanger is made up of the major body 104 having an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate surface having a radius equal to or slightly larger than the outside diameter dimension of the upright member 20 along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member 20, the arm 108 provided integrally with the major body 104 and projecting outward from the upright member 20 so that an object is hung thereon, and the cylindrical connector 109 put on the arm 108.
  • As shown in FIG. 7, the major body 104 consists of a pair of a first half 102 and a second half 103. The first half 102 and the second half 103 are joined together at their confronting edges so that their other edges can be opened and closed freely. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8B, at the confronting edge of the first half 102, a connecting body 150 is formed integrally. On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 9B, at the confronting edge of the second half 103, second connecting elements 151 extending in parallel with each other from the upper and lower surfaces of the second half 103 are integrally formed toward the upper and lower surfaces of the connecting body 150.
  • Also, each of these second connecting elements 151 is formed with a shaft hole 153 penetrating the central part thereof. On the upper and lower surfaces of the connecting body 150, protruding shafts 152 each fitted to the depth of the shaft hole 153 are projectingly provided at positions facing to the second connecting elements 151 as shown in FIGS. 8B to 8E.
  • As shown in FIG. 7, the major body 104 is configured so as to be turnably integrated by fitting the protruding shafts 152 of the first half 102 in the shaft holes 153 in the second half 103.
  • Also, as shown in FIG. 8D, on the end surface of the first half 102, a first concave portion 130 consisting of ten concave portions is formed. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 9D, on the end surface of the second half 103, a second protrusion portion 131 consisting of ten convex portions is formed.
  • Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 7, 8B, 8C, 9A and 9B, in the central part of the inner peripheral surface of each of the first and second halves 102 and 103, a linear raised portion 105 is formed along the arcuate surface. The raised portion 105 is formed so as to have a height dimension such as to fit into the groove 21 formed in the upright member 20. The raised portion 105 of the first half 102 is formed in an angle range of 105 degrees with respect to the center of the arcuate surface. Also, the raised portion 105 of the second half 103 is formed in an angle range of 70 degrees with respect to the center of the arcuate surface.
  • On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7, the arm 108 consists of a first divided arm 106 and a second divided arm 107. The first divided arm 106 is formed so as to project outward integrally from the first half 102. On the other hand, the second divided arm 107 is formed so as to project outward integrally from the second half 103. The first and second divided arms 106 and 107 are formed so as to abut each other and take a cylindrical shape as a whole when the major body 104 is in a closed state.
  • Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 8B, 8C and 8E, on the edge surface of the tip end part of the first divided arm 106, facing towards the second divided arm 107, a protruding element 110 is formed. On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 9A and 9E, in the edge surface of the tip end part of the second divided arm 107, facing towards the first divided arm 106, an engagement hole 111 that engages with the protruding element 110 is formed.
  • Also, as shown in FIGS. 8A to 8C, in the outer surface of the first divided arm 106, a first cut element 180 having flexibility, which is formed by cutting a tongue-shaped arcuate part in the axial direction toward the first half 102, is formed. On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 9A to 9C, in the outer surface of the second divided arm 107 as well, a second cut element 181 having flexibility, which is formed by cutting a tongue-shaped arcuate part in the axial direction toward the second half 103, is formed.
  • On the upper surface of this first cut element 180, a circular first convex portion 182 is formed. On the other hand, on the upper surface of the second cut element 181 as well, a circular second convex portion 183 is formed. The outside dimension of each of the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 is, for example, 4 mm in diameter.
  • Also, as shown in FIGS. 10A and 10B, the connector 109 has a cylindrical shape formed with a hole 186 in the central part thereof, and a grip portion 187 for closing the opening is formed at the tip end of the connector 109. This grip portion 187 is formed with an expanding portion 188 expanding in the radial direction. Thereby, when an object is hung on the connector 109, the object can be prevented from dropping. Further, the connector 109 has holes 185 each having a diameter of 3 mm, which are formed in portions in which the first and second cut elements 180 and 181 face each other.
  • For the hanger having the above-described configuration, as shown in FIG. 11, the raised portion 105 formed on the inner peripheral surface of one of the first and second halves 102 and 103 is inserted into the groove 21 formed in the upright member 20, and the other thereof is closed so as to hold the upright member 20 from the other side. Next, the first and second divided arms 106 and 107 integrated with the first and second halves 102 and 103, respectively, are caused to abut on each other.
  • At this time, the protruding element 110 and the engagement hole 111 formed on the opposing edge surfaces of the tip end parts of the first and second divided arms 106 and 107, respectively, are engaged with each other, by which the arm 108 is formed.
  • Next, the arm 108 is inserted into the hole 186 in the connector 109, and the holes 185 formed in the connector 109 are respectively engaged with the first convex portion 182 and the second convex portion 183 formed on the arm 108. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 12, the connector 109 is displaced to the proximal end of the arm 108 integrated with the major body 104 and is positioned.
  • According to the hanger of the second embodiment, if the upright member 20 is of a cylindrical or columnar shape, and is formed with the groove 21 in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof, the hanger can be attached as necessary when being desired to be used. At this time, according to this hanger, the hanger can be attached by simple work such that the upright member 20 is held by the major body 104, the major body 104 is closed, and then the connector 109 is put on the arm 108.
  • Also, since the arm 108 and the connector 109 are integrated with each other by putting the connector 109 on the arm 108, and in the state in which the major body 104 is closed, the first divided arm 106 and the second divided arm 107 are connectingly fixed to each other reliably, the fixation is strengthened, so that a strong hanger is provided.
  • Also, since the connector 109 is formed with the expanding portion 188, when an object is hung on the connector 109, the object can be prevented from dropping.
  • By engaging the holes 185 formed in the connector 109 with the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 provided on the outer peripheral surfaces of the first and second divided arms 106 and 107, respectively, the connector 109 can be prevented from coming off.
  • Also, by cutting the first and second cut elements 180 and 181 into a tongue shape toward the major body, the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 can be engaged with the holes 185 smoothly.
  • At this time, since the outside dimension of each of the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 is made 1 mm larger than the inside diameter of the hole 185, no gap is produced between the outside dimension of each of the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 and the inside diameter of the hole 185, so that the convex portions 182 and 183 fit firmly in the holes 185, and therefore the connector 109 can be prevented reliably from coming off.
  • Furthermore, the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 are deflected by the first and second cut elements 180 and 181, respectively. Therefore, each of the first and second convex portions 182 and 183 becomes in a state of engaging lightly with the hole 185, so that the connector 109 can be attached to and detached from the arm 108 easily. Thereupon, the mounting place (height, position) of hanger can be moved easily so as to match the formation position of the groove 21 on the upright member 20.
  • The arcuate surface of the major body 104 is formed so as to have a radius equal to or slightly larger than the outside diameter dimension of the upright member 20. Also, the raised portions 105 are formed in the range of center angle of a total of 175 degrees along the arcuate surface, and the tip ends thereof fit in the groove 21. As the result, the major body 104 can be turned 360 degrees along the outer periphery of the upright member 20, so that the position and orientation of the arm 108 on which an object is hung can be changed each time. Also, the resistance caused by friction with the groove 21 is decreased by the raised portion 105, so that the rotation can be made smoothly. Also, since the raised portion 105 engages with the groove 21, even in the case where a heavy object is hung, the object does not drop together with the hanger, so that the hanger can be used stably.
  • In this embodiment, only the case where the cylindrical connector 109 is used as a connecting member has been explained. However, the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, the connector 109 of a type such that an object is hung in the vertical direction may be used, or a connecting member called a double hook may be used.
  • INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
  • According to the present invention, there can be provided a hanger which can be mounted to an upright member of a sectional rack in a state of being turnable in the circumferential direction, does not drop even when a heavy object is hung thereon, and does not become a hindrance when being in use.

Claims (7)

1. A hanger which is detachably mounted to a cylindrical or columnar upright member formed with a groove extending in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof to hang an object thereon, comprising
a major body surrounding the outer periphery of the upright member so as to be turnable in the circumferential direction; and a hook connected to the major body to hang an object thereon, characterized in that
the major body has a pair of first and second halves which are joined together at the confronting edges so that the other edges can be opened and closed freely and each has an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate shape along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member; the hook is connected to at least one of the other edges of the first and second halves; and a raised portion, which is engaged with the groove in the upright member to keep the major body from moving in the axis line direction of the major body, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second halves.
2. The hanger according to claim 1, characterized in that the hook is formed into a hook shape.

The hanger according to claim 1, characterized in that a connecting portion for connecting the hook to the major body projects in the radial direction from the other edges of the first and second halves, and has first and second convex portions which take an inverse U shape in the axis line direction as a whole when the hanger is mounted to the upright member and the hook is connected to the major body; and an inverse U shaped concave portion, into which the first and second convex portions are inserted, formed in a back surface on the side opposite to a portion in which the hook is formed into a hook shape, and
a slit extending in the axis line direction is provided in each of the first and second convex portions, and protruding portions engaging with the slits are provided in the concave portion.
4. A hanger which is detachably mounted to a cylindrical or columnar upright member formed with a groove extending in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface thereof to hang an object thereon, comprising
a major body surrounding the outer periphery of the upright member so as to be turnable in the circumferential direction; and an arm provided integrally with the major body and projecting outward from the upright member to hang an object thereon, characterized in that
the major body has a pair of first and second halves which are joined together at the confronting edges so that the other edges can be opened and closed freely and each has an inner peripheral surface formed into an arcuate surface along the outer peripheral surface of the upright member; the arm is integrally provided on at least one of the first and second halves; a connecting member for connecting the other edges of the first and second halves to each other in a closed state is detachably provided, and a raised portion, which is engaged with the groove in the upright member to keep the major body from moving in the axis line direction of the major body, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second halves.

The hanger according to claim 4, characterized in that the arm has a first divided arm provided on the first half and a second divided arm provided on the second half; the first and second divided arms are formed so as to abut on each other and take a cylindrical or columnar shape in a state in which the first and second halves are closed; and the connecting member is a cylindrical connector formed with a hole, into which the arm is inserted, in the central part thereof.

The hanger according to claim 5, characterized in that a convex portion having flexibility is provided on the outer peripheral surface of at least one of the first and second divided arms in such a manner as to emerge and immerge from the outer peripheral surface; and the connector is formed with a hole for preventing the connecting portion from coming off by the engagement with the convex portion.
7. The hanger according to claim 6, characterized in that the outside dimension of the convex portion is larger than the inside diameter of the hole.
