Description
- This application claims the priority of the Chinese patent application No. 200620105271.4, filing date of Jun. 30, 2006.
- This invention involves a kind of campstool, whose armrest position is adjustable, and such campstools can be used for leisure life for camping, in a courtyard, a garden and so like.
- In current technique, a folding chair or a deck chair of all kinds used for outdoor life in tour, at courtyards, gardens, etc. mainly consists of a chair back, a chair seat, front feet, rear feet, and armrests. The structure of such a chair normally has following features: The bottom end of the chair back is connected to the rear part of the chair seat with a joining piece; there is a movable connection between the rear end of the armrest and middle rear of the seat with a pin; the upper ends of the front foot and the rear foot are movably joined with a pin; the front foot and the seat are joined via pins; the upper ends of the front foot and the rear foot are joined with movable pins; between the upper ends of the front and rear feet there is a fastener for adjustable armrest positioning; when in use, the fastener can secure with the armrest reliably. As the fastener is located between the front foot and the rear foot, there will be severe wearing between the three, and cause structure loosing and impact the chairs' stability and use performance. Besides, the fastener of armrest positioning set between the front and rear feet increases the chair width and difficulty in chair assembly, which is unfavorable for product packing and transportation, and the chair storage will occupy more space. These draw out attentions to improvement of the product stability and use comfortability.
- This invention aims at designing an armrest positioning-adjustable campstool, which is simple, compact in structure, and easy, flexible in use.
- To realize the purpose, the campstool is designed to have a chair back, a chair seat, a front foot, a rear foot, and armrests; the bottom part of the chair back joints the seat with a joining piece; there is a movable connection between the rear end of the armrest and the chair back; the front foot connects the chair back with bolts, there is a stop piece, its one end is turnable in connection with the chair seat at the middle back by a bolt, its other end is connected with a positioning pin. It has such features that the upper part of the said front and rear feet is connected with the fastener for adjustable armrest positioning, and the fastener fits with the armrest.
- Compared with the current technique, such a structure of the upper end of the front and rear feet connecting with the fastener for adjustable armrest positioning permits the front and rear feet to be at the same plane, and therefore the campstool is more compact in structure, easier in installation, more convenient for folding and developing, and favorable for packing and transport.

FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the structure. -
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of the local structure. -
FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of the stereo structure. -
FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of the armrest. - Description of the attached
FIG. 1 : 1—chair back, 2—bolt, 3—armrest, 4—fastener for adjustable armrest positioning, 5—bolt, 6—chair seat, 7—front foot, 8—bolt, 9—rear foot, 9—positioning pin, 10—joining piece, 11—stop piece, 12—bolt, 13—bolt, 14—positioning embedded joint, 15—bolt hole, 16—connecting hole of front foot, 17—connecting slot of rear foot, 18—bolt hole, 19—joining piece, 20—extension seat, 21—front bracing. - Bellow is the detailed description as per the figure:
- Refer to
FIG. 1 andFIG. 2 : This invention involves chair back 1,chair seat 6,front foot 7,rear foot 9 andarmrest 3. The bottom end of saidback 1 is connected with the rear of theseat 6 with the joiningpiece 10; there is a movable bolting connection (bolt 2) between the rear end of thearmrest 3 and theback 1; thefront foot 7 connectsseat 6 viabolt 5; thestop piece 11, its one end is turnable in connection with theseat 6 at the middle rear of theseat 6 by a bolt 8, its other end is turnable in connection with therear foot 9 by a positioning pin; the upper end of thefront foot 7 andrear foot 9 is connected with fastener foradjustable armrest positioning 4, thefastener 4 can fit witharmrest 3; the saidfastener 4 is an integral member with functional parts of positioning embeddedjoint 14, frontfoot connecting hole 16, and rearfeet connecting slot 17; the said positioning embeddedjoint 14 can fit witharmrest 3; the said connectinghole 16 can fit with the upper end of thefront feet 7, and the two are connected with a bolt; the upper end of saidrear foot 9 can fit with rearfoot connecting slot 17, the two have a movable connection viabolt 13; the fit method betweenarmrest 3 and positioning embeddedjoint 14 is public-known and unnecessary to give details. - The cross section of the said
armrest 3 is of “U” shape; the underside of thearmrest 3 has an open 34, and inside the open there is an adjustingslot 31, and inside the adjustingslot 31 there are twolimit stops 32 which are parallel to each other to form atravel limit groove 33. - When the positioning embedded
joint 14 of thefastener 4 is locked into the correspondingtravel limit groove 33 thechair back 1 is fixed a position. The inclination of thechair back 1 can be adjusted in the following way: First pull the front end of thearmrest 3 upwards to separate the positioning embeddedjoint 14 from thetravel limit groove 33, then hold the right andleft armrest 2 to move the chair back 1 to the required inclination; after that press thearmrest 3 onto the positioning embeddedjoint 14, and permit the positioning embedded 14 to interlock with the adjustedlimit groove 33. - In
FIG. 3 , the front side of saidseat 6 can join withextension seat 20 with a joiningpiece 19; there is afront brace 21 on the saidextension seat 20, the two have movable connection by a public-known method. - It is due to such a reasonably designed structure of the upper end of the
front foot 7 andrear foot 9 connecting with the fastener for the armrest adjustable-positioning 4 that allows the campstool to be more compact, easier in installation and thus lowers the cost of installation, packing and transportation, and improves its stability and prolong its service life. Besides, this invention has anextension seat 20, which is optional for users so as the campstool can also be used as a deck chair.
