Abstract

A sizer marks with a size on each of its four sides. The sizer includes a main body which at least has four sides and a top surface for connecting the four sides; wherein the top surface has a hole for a hook on a garment hanger extending therethrough; wherein the four sides of the main body are marked each with a size of a garment so that consumers can easily read a sizer from either direction to select a desired garment.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the invention
  • The present invention relates to a sizer used on a garment hanger, and more particularly to a sizer that can be marked with a size on each of its four sides for a consumer to easily read the size on the garment hanger.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • There are various types of sizers used on garment hangers. Referring to FIG. 1, it depicts a schematic view showing the appearance of a normally used sizer 1 on a garment hanger. The sizer 1 includes a plurality of sides 10 and a top surface 12 for connecting the sides 10. The sides 10 and the top surface 12 define a receiving space and the receiving space is used to receive a connecting portion 16 on a hook 14 of the garment hanger. The connecting portion 16 of the hook 14 has thereon a plurality of tenons 17, while the sizer 1 is provided thereon with a plurality of mortises 18 for engaging with the tenons 17, thereby when in engaging the sizer 1 can be firmly connected onto the hook 14. By the limitation of shape of the connecting portion 16, the sizer 1 is designed to be flat and elongate; hence it can only have its broader surfaces marked to indicate the size 19 of a garment. The above conventional sizer only has its broader surfaces marked to indicate the sizes of a garment. By influence of the directions of the garment hangers and hanging rods, consumers mostly tend to view the sizer in directions 24, 25 to select desired garment. However, the positions on sizer viewed by the consumers from these directions 24, 25 unfortunately are the positions with no sizes marked thereon. This is inconvenient for the consumers.
  • Therefore, the present invention is aimed at improving of the conventional sizer to provide a sizer that is marked with a size on each of its four sides for a consumer to easily read and then select the garment.
    • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a sizer that is marked with a size on each of its four sides for consumers' convenience to read the size of a garment.
  • To achieve the above stated objective, the sizer applicable on a garment hanger of the present invention and being marked with a size on each of its four sides includes a main body which at least has four sides and a top surface for connecting the four sides; wherein the top surface has a hole for a hook on the garment hanger extending therethrough; wherein the four sides of the main body are marked each with a size of a garment.
  • The present invention will be apparent after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiment thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.
    • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a conventional sizer used on a garment hanger;
  • FIG. 2 is perspective view showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a sizer having its four sides marked each with a size and a garment hanger of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a partial sectional view of the sizer in FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the sizer and the garment hanger in FIG. 2 after assembling.
    • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIG. 2 it is a perspective view showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a sizer 3 having its four sides each marked with a size and attachable to a garment hanger 4.
  • The garment hanger 4 has a connecting portion 42 having a connecting hole 43. A metallic hook 41 is connected to the connecting hole 43 to allow the garment hanger 4 to be hung. The sizer 3 can be attached to the garment hanger 4 provided with the metallic hook 41.
  • The sizer 3 has a main body 30 including a plurality of sides 31 and a top surface 32 for connecting the sides 31. In this embodiment, the main body 30 at least has four sides 31 marked each with a size 34 of a garment. The top surface 32 has a hole 35 for the hook 41 on the garment hanger 4 extending therethrough. As shown in FIG. 3, the four sides 31 and the top surface 32 define a receiving space 36 and the receiving space 36 is used to receive the connecting portion 42 on the garment hanger 4.
  • In this embodiment, the connecting portion 42 has a specific length L1 and a specific width W1 and the receiving space 36 has an inner length L2 that is slightly larger than the specific length L1 of the connecting portion 42, and the receiving space 36 has an inner width W2 that is larger than the specific width W1, the connecting portion 42 can be received in the receiving space 36. The receiving space 36 also can be designed to be matched with the shape of the connecting portion 42 in order that the sizer 3 can be firmly connected with the connecting portion 42.
  • The connecting portion 42 is provided on its two lateral sides each with a protruding first engaging portion and the main body 30 of the sizer 3 is provided at positions on its inner side in corresponding with that of the first engaging portions with second engaging portions, in order that the first engaging portions are engaged with the second engaging portions when the connecting portion 42 is received in the receiving space 36. The sizer 3 can be firmly connected with the connecting portion 42. Wherein the first engaging portions are engaging blocks 44, while the second engaging portions are engaging grooves 37, so that when the sizer 3 is connected with the connecting portion 42, the engaging blocks 44 are engaged in the engaging grooves 37, and the sizer 3 can be firmly connected with the garment hanger 4 as is shown in FIG. 4.
  • Therefore, the present invention has the following advantages:
      • 1. The sizer of the present invention has plain surfaces to allow printing thereon larger letters or sizes for viewing of a consumer.
      • 2. In addition to having plain surfaces, the first engaging portions on the connecting portion and the corresponding second engaging portions on the sizer of the present invention can be engaged with each other, so that the sizer can be firmly connected with the garment hanger against dropping.
      • 3. The present invention has plain side surfaces each printed thereon with the size of a garment on the garment hanger. Thereby a consumer can easily see the size for selecting a desired garment.
  • In conclusion, according to the description disclosed above and the drawings, the present invention surely can achieve the expected objective thereof to provide a sizer that can be marked with a size on each of its four sides and used on a garment hanger. The present invention is practically valuable.
  • The embodiment stated above is only for illustrating the present invention, and not for giving any limitation to the scope of the present invention; it will be apparent to those skilled in this art that various equivalent modifications or changes according to the idea of and without departing from the spirit of this invention shall also fall within the scope of the appended claims.

Claims (4)

3. A garment hanger with a sizer comprising:
said garment hanger having a connecting portion provided with a metallic hook to allow said garment hanger to be hung; and
said sizer provided on said garment hanger, a main body of said sizer including at least four sides and a top surface for connecting said at least four sides to receive said connecting portion, said at least four sides and said top surface define a receiving space to receive said connecting portion; said top surface has a hole for said hook on said garment hanger extending therethrough;
wherein said at least four sides of said main body are marked each with a size of a garment,
wherein said connecting portion is provided on each of two lateral sides of the connecting portion with a protruding first engaging portion, said main body of said sizer is provided at positions on its inner side in corresponding with that of said first engaging portions with second engaging portions, in order that said first engaging portions are both engaged with and surrounded by said second engaging portions when said connecting portion is received in said receiving space, thus said sizer is firmly connected with said connecting portion.

The garment hanger with a sizer as claimed in claim 3, wherein said first engaging portions are engaging blocks, while said second engaging portions are engaging grooves, so that when said connecting portion is received in said receiving space, said engaging blocks are engaged in said engaging grooves, and said sizer is firmly connected with said garment hanger.
