This shaft 4| isvprovided' with a plurality of annular sheet steel spider members 42. Each of these membersis preferably made in two parts as shown in Fig. 1 and the two parts are secured together by straps or plates 43 and bolts or other fastening The sheet steel members 42 are clamped between flanges 45 and are held by bolts 46, as shown in Fig. 1. These flanges 45 are arranged on semi-cylindrical sleeves 41 which are provided with flanges 48 secured together by bolts 49 and the structure is such that the spider members 42 are rigidly held upon the shaft 4|.
The sheet steel spiders 42 are shaped to provide a rim portion 53 in the periphery of which are arrangedspaced slots 54. Two of the walls of these slots are preferably at right angles to each other while the third wall shown at 55, Fig. 2, is inclined towards the opposed wall. From the foregoing description. it will be apparent that I have invented a novel 'type of soil pulverizer which is highly eflicient in use, which can be economically manufactured, and which is not likely to get out of order.
Having thus described my invention, I claim:
1. In a soil pulverizer, a rotor comprising a pair of spaced disks, each of said disks having a series of peripheral notches therein, .blade supports having projecting portions thereon fitting said notches, and means to hold said blade supports in position. I l

5. In a rotor for a soil pulverizer, a shaft, a rotor on said shaft, a shield associated with said rotor, and movable therewith, means to simultaneously lift said shield and said rotor, a skirt hinged to said shield, a second skirt hinged to said first skirtand cultivator teeth in said second skirt.

In a rotor for a soil pulverizer, a shaft, a plu rality of spiders mounted on said shaft, a plurality of sleeves on said shaft, one of said sleeves being arranged adjacent each side of each spider, each of said sleeves comprising a pair of members having semi-cylindrical cavities therein, said shaft being received in the semi-cylindrical cavities, means to hold said sleeve members as-' sembled, each of said spiders having a series of peripheral notches therein, ablade support including a projecting portion fitting said notches and a blade on saidsupport.
7. Ina rotor for a soil pulverizer, a shaft, a plurality of pairs of sleeves mounted on said shaft, a spider member arranged between each pair of sleeves, each'of said spiders having a series of peripheral. notches therein, blade supports having base projecting portions thereon fitting said notches and means to hold said blade supports in position and blades on said blade supports, each of said blades having each edge bevelled to render the blades reversible.
8. In a rotor fora soil pulverizer, a shaft, a plurality of pairs of semi cylindrical sleeves mounted on said shaft, each of said semi-cylindrical sleeves having a pair of flanges thereon, means uniting the flanges of each pair of semicylindrical sleeves, a sheet steel spider member, said spidermember comprising a pair of semicircular members clarnped between flanges on said sleeves, said spider members having plates thereon at the'outer edge thereof securing said members together, each of said spiders having 2i series of peripheral notches therein, blade supports having projecting portions thereon fitting said notches and means to hold said blade supports in position.

In a rotor for a soil pulverizer, a shaft, a plurality of spiders mounted on said shaft, each of said spiders comprising a pair of semi-circular members, abutting along the diameter thereof and including a rim portion, means adjacent the rim portion tounite each pair of spider portions, a plurality of sleeves on said shaft, one of said sleeves being arranged adjacent each side of each spider, each of said sleeves comprising a pair of members having semi-cylindrical cavities therein, said shaft being received in the semi-cylindrical cavities, means to hold said sleeve members assembled, each of said spiders having a series of peripheral notches therein, a blade support including a body engaging the rim and also including a projecting portion fitting said notches and a blade on said support.

In a rotor for a soil pulverizer, a shaft, a plurality of spiders mounted on said shaft, each of said spiders comprising a pair of semi-circular members abutting along the diameter thereof and including a rim portion, means adjacent the rim portion to unite each pair of spider portions, a. plurality of sleeves on said shaft, one of said sleeves being arranged adjacent each side of each spider, each of said sleeves comprising a pair of members having semi-cylindrical cavities therein, said shaft being received in the semicylindrical cavities, means to hold said sleeve members assembled, each of said spiders having a series of peripheral notchestherein, said notches being of increasing width towards the axis of said spiders, a blade support including abody engaging the rim and also including a projecting portion fitting said notches and a clamping member engaging said blade supports and holding means passing through said clamping members, said blade supports and said rim portions.
