Abstract

The present invention relates to a safety paper table includes two first table feet, two second table feet and a table top. The first table feet each have a main plate to both sides of which two attachment flaps with half the width of the main plate and with the same locking structure created in a manner of mirror activities are connected, respectively. Besides, Long and short locking slots with openings directed downwardly are symmetrically disposed at both sides of the main plate. In addition, indentations are formed at the bottom of the main plate adjacent to the long locking slots such that locking heads are created at the outer side of the indentations. Moreover, a pair of locking members are disposed at the center of the top of the main plate. Each locking member has a mounting slot with an opening directed downwardly. Meanwhile, the locking member is connected with the main plate through side interconnection members. The second table feet corresponding to the first table feet each have locking structure similar thereto. The table top with a panel has first folding members, mounting members, second folding members and sticking members disposed one after another therearound all of which are fixed in place on the internal side of the panel by means of the sticking members and are folded into side frame of the table top. A pair of outer locking holes are formed corresponding to the locking heads of the first and second table feet.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates to a safety paper table, and more particularly, to a table wherein the ends of the table top and the table feet are foldable, thereby forming arched surfaces to prevent users from cut injuries. [0002]
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art [0003]
  • A conventional environmental paper table disclosed in TW 422021 and shown in FIGS. 1 through 3, includes two pairs of longitudinal and [0004] lateral plates 50, 51 both of which are engaged to each other by crossing themselves. As a result, the table base is created for table top 53. Thereafter, a pair of strengthening ribs 52 which also cross themselves are engaged to the table base. Finally, The table top 53 with attachment flaps 531 disposed therearound is fixed on the table base by means that the attachment flaps 531 folded inwardly are mounted on the table base. Accordingly, a resuable paper table is created. Since the longitudinal and lateral plates 50, 51 belong single-plate construction, the sharp corner thereof will injure users. It's often to hear that users are cut by paper. Moreover, the structural strength of this conventional paper table is insufficient because the table base is produced only by crossing the single-plate type longitudinal and lateral plates 50, 51 which are engaged with each other.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • First of all, referring to FIG. 4, the [0020] first table foot 10 in accordance with the present invention includes a main plate 11 to both sides of which attachment flaps 12L, 12R with half the width of the main plate 11 are connected. Long and short locking slots 13, 14 with openings directed downwardly are symmetrically disposed at both sides of the main plate 11. The long locking slot 13 is arranged adjacent to the outer edge of the main plate 11 while the short locking slot 14 is disposed at the center between the long locking slot 13 and the middle line of the main plate 11. In addition, indentations 15 are formed at the bottom of the main plate 11 adjacent to the long locking slots 13 such that locking heads 16 are created at the outer side of the indentations 15. Moreover, a pair of locking members 17 are disposed at the center of the top of the main plate 11. Each locking member 17 has a mounting slot 18 with an opening directed downwardly. Meanwhile, the locking member 17 is connected with the main plate 11 through side interconnection members 19.
  • Correspondingly to the [0021] main plate 11 in such a way of mirror activities, both attachment flaps 12L, 12R include long locking slots 13, short locking slots 14, indentations 15, locking heads 16, locking members 17, mounting slots 18 and side interconnection members 19. After the attachment flaps 12L, 12R are folded inwardly, a double-layer structure is created, thereby forming arched surface of the end edges.
  • In addition, the present invention includes a [0022] second table foot 20, as shown in FIG. 5, to both sides of which attachment flaps 22L, 22R with half the width of the main plate 21 are connected. Besides, the attachment flaps 22L, 22R have locking and mounting structure corresponding to the main plate 21 in such a way of mirror activities. Corresponding to the table foot 10, the main plate 21 also has long locking slots 23 with opening directed upwardly, short locking slots 24 with opening directed downwardly, indentations 25 formed at the bottom corners of the main plate 21 in such a way that locking heads 26 are created by means of the indentations 15. Furthermore, corresponding to the table foot 10, the main plate 21 also has a pair of locking members 27 at the top center thereof. Meanwhile, the locking members 27 include mounting slots 28 with opening directed upwardly. Moreover, the locking members 27 are connected to the main plate 21 through side interconnection members 29. After the attachment flaps 22L, 22R are folded inwardly, a double-layer structure is also created, thereby forming arched surface of the end edges.
  • A [0023] table top 30, as shown in FIG. 6, includes a panel 31 having first folding members 32, mounting members 33, second folding members 34 and sticking members 35 disposed one after another therearound. Each mounting member 33 has a pair of outer locking holes 36 and a pair of inner locking holes 37. The outer locking holes 36 correspond to the locking heads 16, 26 of the first and second table feet 10, 20. Thereafter, members 32, 33, 34 disposed around the panel 31 are folded and fixed in place on the internal side of said panel 31 by means of the sticking members 35 (see FIG. 10), thereby forming a table top with side frame.
  • In order to strengthen the structure of the [0024] panel 30, as shown in FIG. 7, two pairs of strengthening ribs 40U, 40D forming a nine square grid are engaged into the inner locking holes 37 of the panel 30. Besides, the strengthening ribs 40U, 40D are provided with top and bottom locking slots 41, 42. Also, the strengthening ribs 40U, 40D have indentations 43 and slots 44 formed at the bottom of both ends thereof so as to create locking members 45 corresponding to the inner locking holes 37 of the panel 30. Moreover, the first and second table feet 10, 20 are engaged each other into a table base by means that the corresponding long locking slots 13, 23 of the first and second table feet 10, 20 and the corresponding mounting slots 18, 28 of the locking members 17, 27 are inserted each other. Meanwhile, both pairs of strengthening ribs 40U, 40D are fixed to the first and second table feet 10, 20 by means of the short locking slots 14, 24. In addition, the first and second table feet 10, 20 are connected to the table top 30 by means that the locking heads 16, 26 are inserted into the outer locking holes 36 of the table top 30 (see FIGS. 8 and 9).
  • Based on the above-mentioned configuration, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the table base is created by locking the first and [0025] second table feet 10, 20 to each other. The first and second table feet 10, 20 are connected with attachment flaps 12L, 12R, 22L, 22R to both sides thereof. Besides, the attachment flaps 12L, 12R, 22L, 22R have the same structure as the main plates 11, 21 in a manner of mirror activities. Accordingly, a double-layer construction is created after the attachment flaps 12L, 12R, 22L, 22R are folded onto the main plates 11, 21, thereby forming an arched surface R at the end edges (see FIG. 12) to prevent users from cut injuries. Also, the double-layer construction is able to enhance the structural strength. Additionally, the attachment members of the first and second table feet 10, 20 are much increased to enhance the fixing effect. Furthermore, the ground-contacting surfaces are expanded to enhance the structural strength as well.
  • Many changes and modifications in the above-described embodiments of the invention can, of course, be carried out without departing from the scope thereof. Accordingly, to promote the progress in science and the useful arts, the invention is disclosed and is intended to be limited only by the scope of the appended claims. [0026]
