Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims priority of Taiwanese application No. 091211065, filed on Jul. 19, 2002. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0002]
  • The invention relates to a moist paper towel package, more particularly to a moist paper towel package capable of preventing cleansing solution contained in the moist paper towels from damaging releasable adhesive on a cover of the package. [0003]
  • 2. Description of the Related Art [0004]
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional moist paper towel package is shown to include a stack of moist paper towels [0005] 92, a bag body 91 for receiving the moist paper towels 92 therein, and a cover member 93.
  • The [0006] bag body 91 has a top wall 94 formed with an opening 95 for drawing of the moist paper towels 92 out of the bag body 91. The cover member 93 is provided on the top wall 94 for covering the opening 95. The moist paper towels 92 contain cleansing solution.
  • Since the moist paper towels [0007] 92 are not isolated from the opening 95, the cleansing solution contained in the moist paper towels 92 is liable to evaporate from the moist paper towels 92. Therefore, the storage period of the conventional moist paper towel package is relatively short. Furthermore, if the cleansing solution contains an ingredient capable of removing adhesive, the adhesive effect between the cover member 93 and the top wall 94 of the bag body 91 may be destroyed.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a moist paper towel package having a relatively long storage period and capable of preventing cleansing solution contained in moist paper towels from damaging releasable adhesive of a cover on the package. [0008]
  • The moist paper towel package according to this invention includes a stack of moist paper towels, a bag body, a cover member, a layer of releasable adhesive, and a membrane. The moist paper towels contain cleansing solution. The bag body is adapted to receive the moist paper towels therein, and has a top wall formed with an opening to permit drawing of the moist paper towels out of the bag body. The top wall further has an outer surface, an inner surface, and an adhering region on the outer surface around the opening. The cover member is provided on the adhering region of the top wall for covering the opening. The layer of releasable adhesive is applied to at least one of the adhering region and the cover member to enable the cover member to adhere releasably to the adhering region so as to seal the opening. The membrane is adhered removably on the inner surface of the top wall so as to isolate the moist paper towels from the adhering region and so as to prevent the cleansing solution from damaging the releasable adhesive.[0009]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which: [0010]
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional moist paper towel package; [0011]
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the moist paper towel package according to this invention; [0012]
  • FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the preferred embodiment in a covered state; [0013]
  • FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the preferred embodiment in an uncovered state to illustrate how a membrane is drawn; and [0014]
  • FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the preferred embodiment in an uncovered state with the membrane removed therefrom.[0015]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the preferred embodiment of a moist paper towel package according to this invention is shown to include a stack of [0016] moist paper towels 3, a bag body 1, a cover member 2, a layer of releasable adhesive 23, and a membrane 4.
  • The [0017] moist paper towels 3 can be made of paper, fabric or other suitable material, and contain a solution, such as a cleansing solution. The cleansing solution can be a cleansing agent suitable for the removal of oil, adhesive and the like. The bag body 1 includes a bottom wall 11, a plurality of side walls 12, 13, 14, 15, and a top wall 16, which cooperate to define a receiving space 17 for receiving the stack of the moist paper towels 3 therein. The top wall 16 is formed with an opening 161, preferably oval in shape, to permit drawing of the moist paper towels 3 out of the bag body 1. The top wall 16 further has an outer surface 162, an inner surface 163, and an adhering region 164 on the outer surface 162 around the opening 161.
  • The [0018] cover member 2 is provided on the adhering region 164 of the top wall 16 for covering the opening 161. In this preferred embodiment, the cover member 2 is formed as a flexible film, and includes a connecting portion 21 connected to the top wall 16 either detachably or permanently, and a covering portion 22 detachably covering the opening 161.
  • The layer of [0019] releasable adhesive 23 is applied to at least one of the adhering region 164 and the cover member 2 to enable the cover member 2 to adhere releasably to the adhering region 164 so as to seal the opening 161.
  • The [0020] membrane 4 has a size substantially similar to an area of the inner surface 163 of the top wall 16 of the bag body 1, and is adhered removably on the inner surface 163 of the top wall 16 so as to isolate the moist paper towels 3 from the adhering region 164 and so as to prevent the cleansing solution from damaging the releasable adhesive 23. Preferably, the membrane 4 is adhered electrostatically to the inner surface 163 of the top wall 16 of the bag body 1. The membrane 4 is made of a material resistant to the cleansing solution contained in the moist paper towels 3.
  • Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, when the moist paper towel package of this embodiment is used for the first time, the [0021] cover member 12 is operated to uncover the opening 161, and the membrane 4 is removed from the inner surface 163 of the top wall 16 through the opening 161. The moist paper towels 3 are then drawn out of the bag body 1 through the opening 161.
  • In view of the aforesaid, since the [0022] membrane 4 is provided on the inner surface 163 of the top wall 16 of the bag body 1, the moist paper towels 3 can be isolated from the adhering region 164 so as to prevent the cleansing solution from damaging the releasable adhesive 23. Furthermore, the sealing effect to prevent drying of the moist paper towels 3 can be enhanced.
  • While the present invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements. [0023]
