Abstract
A seat adapted to receive a wood working tool is composed of a seat body and a receiving body. The seat body has a hollow room at interior thereof. The receiving body is connected at a bottom thereof to the seat body and has a receiving hole communicated to the hollow room of the seat body, a plurality of hollowed portions disposed at a lateral periphery of the receiving body, and a plurality of spring members disposed in the receiving hole corresponding in location to the hollowed portions respectively for clamping the handle of the wood working tool which is inserted in the receiving hole of the receiving body.
Description
- The present invention relates to a working tool seat, and more particularly to a seat for receiving wood working tools.
- In the current processing of wooden products, processors would take advantage of all kinds of wood working tools to have logs processed to accomplish works. While conducting a processing, the variety of wood working tools, however, often causes scattered tools and brings inconvenience to those processors that consequently will not help raise the working efficiency; having all kinds of working tools garnered in one tool box may improve the existing drawback, but a disorderliness arising from having all tools put in the same box will also make the finding a time-consuming task that would never promote the working efficiency.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a seat for receiving wood working tools to lead to a centralized custody of the tools that would be unlikely to influence the working efficiency as a result of scattered tools.
- The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a seat for receiving wood working tools which features a simple structure design as well as a convenient use.
- To achieve the aforesaid objectives, the seat adapted to receive wood working tools comprises a seat body and a receiving body. The seat body has a hollow room and two through holes passed through two opposite sides of the seat body. The bottom end of the receiving body is connected to the seat body while on the top end there sets a receiving hole which is communicated to the hollow room of the body. The receiving body is provided at the lateral periphery thereof with a plurality of hollowed portions and a plurality of spring members respectively disposed in the receiving hole corresponding in location to the hollowed portions so as to secure the tool handle of the wood working tool that is inserted by way of the receiving hole.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a front view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing four seats are assembled on two posts in using.
- As shown in FIGS.1-3, a
seat 10 of a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises aseat body 11 and areceiving body 21. - The
seat body 11 is shaped like a flat semi-circular body with its inside having ahollow room 12. Two throughholes 14 pass through the opposite sides of theseat body 11. - The
receiving body 21 is shaped like a cylinder with its bottom end to be integrally connected to theseat body 11. The top end of thereceiving body 21 has a receivinghole 22, which is communicated to thehollow room 12 of theseat body 11, for receiving the handle of a wood working tool (not shown in the drawing). Thereceiving body 21 is provided at the lateral periphery thereof with three hollowedportions 24. Threespring members 31 are respectively disposed in thereceiving hole 22 corresponding in location to the hollowed portions. Eachspring member 31 has one end connecting to the top edge of the respective hollowedportion 24 and an opposite end thereof extending towards the interior of theseat body 11. - As shown in FIG. 4, when used, the
handle 41 of awood working tool 40 can be inserted directly into the receivinghole 22 of thereceiving body 21, thus pushing thespring member 31 to move outwards and towards the hollowedportion 24 of thereceiving body 21 such that the spring force of thespring member 31 will clamp thehandle 41 of thewood working tool 40, thereby securing saidworking tool 40 in theseat 10. For an intended use of thetool 40, just draw out thetool 40 directly from thereceiving body 21 of theseat 10. The present invention takes advantage of twoposts 50 to pass through the two throughholes 14 on theseat body 11, thus enabling theseat 10 to be held between the twoposts 50 to help setting upmore seats 10 provided for inserting a variety ofwood working tools 40. - It is to be mentioned that the
seat 10 composed of theseat body 11 and thereceiving body 21 is integrally manufactured by a processing of compression casting, thus being able to lower the production cost and highly raise the production efficiency. - The advantages of the present invention are described hereunder.
- 1. Convenience to garner different kinds of wood working tools: the present invention can be employed by arranging multiple assembly for use to achieve a purpose of a centralized custody of all kinds of wood working tools.
- 2. A simple structure design and convenience to use: by means of the clamping effectiveness of each spring member, the present invention enables a direct inserting of a wood working tool on the seat to bring an effect of fixedness. For an intended use, it's quite convenient to just draw out the tool directly from the receiving body.
