Abstract

The present invention is an attachment adapted to a motorized vehicle allowing to maintain and level the surplus of accumulated snow or loose granular material in middle of trails.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1) Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present disclosure relates to an attachment adapted to a motorized vehicle allowing to maintain and level the surplus of accumulated snow or loose granular material in middle of trails. [0002]
  • 2) Description of the Related Art [0003]
  • It is well known to provide at the front or back from a motorized vehicle the accessories for scrape or blow the snow. [0004]
  • A search of prior art records has unveiled the following United States and Canadian Patents: [0005]
  • 1. No U.S. Pat. No. 5,791,707 issued in 1998 to Szakurski; [0006]
  • 2. No U.S. Pat. No. 4,665,636 issued in 1987 to Borras; [0007]
  • 3. No U.S. Pat. No. 5,950,336 issued in 1999 to Liebl; [0008]
  • 4. No U.S. Pat. No. 4,615,130 issued in 1986 to Racicot; [0009]
  • 5. No U.S. Pat. No. 5,410,824 issued in 1995 to Pedersen; [0010]
  • 6. No CA 2,287,747 issued in 2001 to Davies; and [0011]
  • 7. No CA 1,233,983 issued in 1988 to Racicot. [0012]
  • The patents to Liebl and Davies are probably the most relevant. As can be seen, the patent to Liebl shows a plow system and mounting system adapted in front of an all-terrain vehicle designed to maintain clearance underneath the vehicle so that off-road capabilities are not hindered, and the patent to Davies shows an attachment adapted in front of an all-terrain vehicle used for clearing away snow and other loose granular material. [0013]
  • None the apparatus or device sold at present on the market resolve with effectivness and simplicity the whole of the problems which usually occur for maintain a trail in good condition. [0014]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The gist of the invention is therefore to provide an attachment adapted to a motorized vehicle allowing to maintain and level the surplus of accumulated snow or loose granular material in middle of trails.[0015]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the attachment installed at the back of an all-terrain vehicle. [0016]
  • FIG. 2 is a left side view of the attachment installed at the back of all-terrain vehicle. [0017]
  • FIG. 3 is a left side view of the attachment installed under of all-terrain vehicle. [0018]
  • FIG. 4 is a left side view of the attachment installed at the front of all-terrain vehicle. [0019]
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective rear view of the attachment. [0020]
  • FIG. 6 is a left side view of the attachment in an inoperational position. [0021]
  • FIG. 7 is a left side view of the attachment in an operational position. [0022]
  • FIG. 8 is an exploded view of the attachment. [0023]
  • FIG. 9 is an isometric view of the attachment.[0024]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • As shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and [0025] 4, the attachment (1) is mounted at the front or back of all-terrain vehicle (2). As shown in FIG. 3, the attachment is mounted under the all-terrain vehicle (2). As shown in FIGS. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, the attachment (1) is provided with a plow (3) which the shape of plow (3) is configurated according to the needs of trails, and possesses at its base a replaceable edge (10). The plow (3) is maintained by the rotating arms (4) mounted inwardly of a frame tube (5). The torsion springs (6) allow to the plow (3) to raise backwards when the plow (3) collides with an obstacle such that the stump or the rock, to go downwards when the movement of the plow (3) is constrained by the torsion springs (6), and when the all-terrain vehicle going backwards, the plow becomes inoperational. The frame tube (5) is connected to a part (7) provided with the adjustable slots (9), and to a part (8) mounted on the frame tube (5) and to all-terrain vehicle (2). A safety lock (11) is connected at each end of frame tube (5) of plow (3), blocking and preventing the plow going downwards when the all-terrain vehicle is in inoperational position.

Claims (3)

The embodiments of the invention for which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:
1: An attachment mounted to a motorized vehicle provided with a plow which the shape of plow is configurated according to the needs of trails, and possesses at its base a replaceable edge, wherein said plow is maintained by the rotating arms mounted inwardly of a frame tube. The torsion springs allowing to said plow to raise backwards when said plow collides with an obstacle such that the stump or rock, to go downwards when the movement of said plow is constrained by said torsion springs, and when the all-terrain vehicle going backwards, said plow becomes in an inoperational position; and said frame tube is connected to a part provided with the adjustable slots, and to a part mounted on said frame tube and to all-terrain vehicle.
2: An attachment mounted to a motorized vehicle as defined in claim 1, wherein said attachment comprises a safety lock connected at each end of said frame tube of said plow, blocking and preventing said plow to go downwards when the vehicle is in an inoperational position.
3: An attachment mounted to a motorized vehicle as defined in claim 1, wherein said attachment may be mounted in front or back of all-terrain vehicle, or under the all-terrain vehicle.
